I believe he's now targeting some time near the end of May.

I did notice the updates and Evo-Games and appreciate the few bones I am thrown here and there!
 
Yeah sorry for the delay. I thought I was closer to completion, but realized I hadn't even touched the script or diplomacy texts. Then some RL issues came up (as usual), but now I'm concentrating on finishing the text instead of expanding or adding anything else. Except for a couple of units and graphix updates.
 
It's going well. As usual I have had some unexpected RL issues come up the last week. The mod is playable and the civilopedia has pretty much all basic information (enough to figure out what everything does). I'm trying to get that complete or at least more complete before June. The diplomacy and scripts have not been done. I'll be doing Victories text also. Diplomacy and Scripts may be left undone at the rate things have been going. I'll try to get to them, but the mod may get released before hand. I'm also waiting on a few graphix that are in the works. Regardless, the mod is playable and all victories have been successfully tested, so the mod will be ready by June. I see no reason to hold it back much longer as it is working fine, aside from a couple of cosmetic issues, that I think might be cleared up now, but nothing that crashes the game. It shouldn't crash anyway, the things been in testing since January. I'll be planning a patch to update things like diplomacy at least and then possibly scripts or any details not completed in the civilopedia later in the summer. I'm not sure if many folks really pay that much attention to those details. So early June for sure, regardless of it's current status with text (which is all that's left) it will go live, or upload or whatever. ;)

I am sure you have greatly benefited from Aaglo's excellent fantasy units he has been churning out. Question: Have any units been made specifically for your mod?

Definitely release without the scripts... they will add some nice flavor later on, and perhaps by the time you get around to completing them there will be other helpful suggestions and folks willing to help with the work as well... just get it into the "completed mods" section and I fully believe you will get a lot of exposure and find a lot of people playing this.

The mod has certainly benefited from aaglo's units. They also postponed the release of the mod, as I had to keep adding more in and adjusting the text files. Not that I'm complaining. They have fleshed out the mod.

None of aaglo's that I can recall are made specifically for this mod, but Kinboat has made several like the Gnolls, some of the dwarves, and CamJH made a gnoll with a musket. The Lizardman with a musket was made for the Mystara mod. LizardmanRules has made some cut-n-paste units and the Triceratops rider was made for the Mystara mod. So there are a few. Many have been used for other mods, but I still have several that are pretty exclusive. Oh yes, Drift and Grandraem made some dragon variations that I had requested. Mrtn and Grandream also made some airships that are in the mod and Grandream made the mud golem. There might be more, but I lose track.
 
Isn't the Phaseship (i did a year or so ago) somehow related to the D&D? Well, it may not be related to mystara - but I don't really know that much about the realms of D&D :D
 
Hmm. A lot of the units you have done are related. Including the Stone Giant. Which is why probably at least a 1/3 of the units are your designs. I think the phaseship might be Mystara related. I think it was Grandraem's request, which would make it a unit made specifically for Mystara. I stand requested, or sit actually.
 
A playable version and nearly complete will be release this weekend. It won't be uploaded here at civfanatics yet, but at Evo-Games. I'll provide links when I get the mod ready for download in the Completed mods forum. I'm shooting for tonight, but I have a few things more to do. It will have to be done soon though. I'm starting a business and I have to hold a full time job in the process. Not to mention I've gone back to DM in Mystara again. So my summer schedule is pretty packed aside form somr play testing and helping with other mods. In short, the Mystara mod has to be released very soon.
 
Don't feel bad becasue the good ones do take time, a lot of it.
 
Yeah it is. My mod is pretty tough compared to the standard game so, aside form crash errors in the beginning, it took a long time for somebody to come in and test the victories.
 
Yep, the phaseship is from D&D. It was from the M1 Module: Into The Maelstrom, if I recall correctly. I'd requested it for my Mystara mod which has been stuck at about 25% completion for more than a year. :blush: I am still tremendously thankful for it aaglo, even though my mod has been delayed so much. The fireship you did aaglo is also from the D&D Mystara universe. :) Those two units are the best units you've ever made. ;)
 
Oh yeah I had forgotten that was aaglo's too. Funny I don't remember that module well enough. I need to look at it again, since I'm starting up a campaign this summer between jobs. Not much time really, but I can do that while I waiting for things to go through for my business.
