DaftNES 3: Alternate-World Fresh Start

Dumped the stats and maps, I'm afraid I have to leave it at that for now, if I want anything resembling a night's sleep :( It also gives me time to do things properly and spot errors etc. Consider these your BETA stats. Upgraded to the official version, with NPC diplo, within 24 hours.

Just a quick heads up, it says Kaerlan learned THE WHEEL but it isnt represented in its list of discoveries. Otherwise everything looks wonderful :)

Urgh, I think I'll eventually repost the whole thing so its not straddling two pages.

Note to self here:Read stats first then ask questions.

OK I was going to reprimand you for being unappreciative but never mind :p

I got a wonder! YAY!:)

Also, deficit spending, forevvvveeerrrr!:D

EDIT: I also saw that a bit of cradle 1 is in the top right corner of cradle 3, and vice versa, a bit of 3 is in the bottom right of the map for cradle 1. DISCOVERY!:D

Argh. I'll wait for the update, but how many turns does it take to absorb these freaking people? I even adopted aspects of their religion. And the plague struck me even though I tried to keep it out. AND the Sa'ad Danab slaves rebelled before I could buy them! This has just been a useless turn for me. Oh well, things happen. :(

Oopsie! Actually that looks like an artefact of how I was saving the individual map sections, don't assume the full world map actually lines up anything like that...

I am in the same boat with you Thlayli though I am conquering my neighbors. I take one then another group hops in to fill their boots. I hope my orders if nothing horrible happens event wise will finally end the barbarian migrations into my lands and get them under control so I can start looking outward for once. I wonder how the world will shape up though in the new Mediterranean. We got the sea pirates, grape farmers, some other civilization, a new religious group?, mainland mercenaries, and don't forget gleis now has a navy. Then in cradle two seems like the three super powers there are shaping up. Cradle 3 could go any way at this point. Cradle one other than the sea world of it seems to be in chaos especially in the east. the West seems more populated and organized really. I just hope that out of the chaos I end up on top and not at the bottom.

Would you be able to show people all the sprites available, at least for this time period? Id like to have sprites more representative of Kaerlic culture, but I don't want to put more strain on your already strenuous moderation of this fine NES.

Woot, updatez. I shall do a story detailing how the Vetharil use the wheel to further their mining efforts later today. TaylorFlame, if you can, message back from the Kaerlan about that border agreement?

Daftpanzer, I actually wrote in my orders for the port to be on Cria as a trading colony and for my ship to guard it.

Well it's been two turns so far. It could've been worse.

@daftpanzer can you capture workers?

Any hope of getting those maps soon, and what is the giant doom-bear in Mriz symbolizing?

The convoy of wooden carts wheeled their way up the road into the foothills, guarded by a cohort of golden-armored soldiers. Pulled by men wearing nothing but leather boots and clothing, these carts ferried the precious metals of Vetharoualk's mountains to the mining outposts of Vethmenari.

When the Vetharil first came to understand the process of metal-smithing and mining, several centuries ago, metal armor was a rare sight. Now, however, as more advances in technology have made the process of mining more practical and lucrative, mining camps have sprung up all over Vetharoualk, and with them, the oversight of the Highking's Ministry has been extended to the growing mining industry.

Nearly all mined ores go directly by law to the forges of Vethmenari's military crafters, set to create armor and weapons for the burgeoning Legion of Vethmenari. Despite the trading ventures of many of the new Vethmenari's citizens, nearly 95% of all metal ores were essentially property of the government the minute they were extracted from the mines. Private mining ventures were few and far between, hidden, and punishable by life imprisonment.
