"Depictions of Typhoon Tip [the largest tropical cyclone ever recorded] and Cyclone Tracy (one of the smallest tropical cyclones ever recorded) superimposed to-scale on a map of the United States."

I thought there was a tropical cyclone recently that surpassed Tip in size?

I might be mistaken though.

EDIT: I am mistaken! Tip is still the largest

Needed a reminder of what SPARTAN-IVs were again.

I think that was it actually! I remember that storm.

Thanks!

that's really interesting. some of that is because swapping treasuries for bank reserves counts as more M2, but that money has literally no velocity. I wonder if much of the slowdown comes from their being more and more money in the system going to non-spenders at the top.

Wouldn't the fact that they just buy stocks and bonds with that money show up?

Or is the money trickling upwards, and not even being used to buy stocks?

Well the QE money is literally only traded from bank to bank if it goes anywhere. Money in stocks and bonds isn't moving very fast.

As callous as that might sound, of all the thousand ones, we drank from the skull of the very Emperor, Basileous and all that nice titles.
