I found this on another forum

Dan Rather, CBS News Anchor -
a. given documents he thought were true
b. failed to thoroughly investigate the facts
c. reported documents to the American people as true to make his case
d. when confronted with the facts, apologized and launched an
investigation
e. number of Americans dead: 0
f. should be fired as CBS News Anchor

George W. Bush, President of the United States -
a. given documents he thought were true
b. failed to thoroughly investigate the facts
c. reported documents to the American people as true to make his case
d. when confronted with the facts, continued to report untruth and
stonewalled an investigation
e. number of Americans dead: 1100 (and thousands more wounded, not to
mention the genocide of Iraq)
f. should be given four more years as President of the United States

Does it deserve merit?

Pretty much the same kind of thread you started a week or so ago. You can always pick certain facts that you want, and present them in a way to get the point across that you want. Also known as propaganda. Quite effective though, might I add.

Well, it was focusing on certian situations. It is not propaganda. It is effectively comparing Dan Rathers' debacle to Bush's quagmire.

I must also add, if you don't like what actually occured that you declare propaganda is genius.

Troll thread.... should be closed.

Post reported.

I understand your logic. I don't agree with it, but understand it. Different points of view. It just boils down to which angle you see things from, what types of influences surround you.

EDIT: I agree.....trolling.

Just out of curiosity, do you have the link to the "other forum"?

Bush is the President of the U.S.

Dan Rather is a News Anchor.

Different scales of power.

That basically explains the situation.

Why do say there was a genocide in Iraq?

I must dispute entries B, D, and F in Azadre's initial post. Since I've seen a lot of testimony that WMD are in fact being found in Iraq, I say we don't yet know what the facts are, therefore we don't know whether the facts were reliably investigated, therefore we don't know whether Bush stonewalled. Also, I haven't seen a hue and cry for Dan Rather to be ejected from CBS. Don't see a reason, really--he was just looking for a headline. He's a REPORTER..... :)
