As per ongoing talks between the Kremlin and the Japanese government in Tokyo, we present the Russo-Japanese Friendship Agreement, with the intention of solidifying for posterity the friendly and cooperative intentions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Japan towards each other. The terms of this international compact are provided below:
1. The Russian Federation and the Republic of Japan agree that mutual cooperation and alliance are in their mutual best interests, and pledge themselves to such an agreement.
2. The Russian Federation and the Republic of Japan consider mutual defense and cooperation a priority, and intend to establish a precedent for each others' aid and beneficence, should both parties deem it necessary to intervene on the other's behalf.
3. The Russian Federation and the Republic of Japan consider these terms as a groundwork from which to move towards a more amicable, more open and more coordinated relationship between their two nations. To that end, both parties agree to addend this treaty as necessary, or annul it with future agreements, to whatever purposes might become relevant in the future.
Signed, "Uncle" Anton Sverstikov Chancellor of the Russian National Congress, Director of the Russian Unity Society and Father of the Nation

Your attempts to subvert the friendships and alliances of this great nation are neither appreciated nor unnoticed; we will be watching your lardy, overweight American behinds (unfortunately) should you attempt any further dereliction of the Russian Federation's relationships with its neighbors. Please feel free to elect a hick from nowhere and become an isolationist backwater whenever you get the urge.
