Darths and Droids Mafia- Game Thread

vote: spaceman due to evidence - being blocked, no kill of Grevious

Grievous didn't kill last night, spaceman was roleblocked last night.

I'm skeptical. The kill came from a space dreadnought, quite possibly Grievous' ship the Invisible Hand. Considering Kennigit had been protected before, Grievous could have changed kill methods to bypass any protection (perhaps a one-shot ability of his?). An atomic missile would more than likely negate anyone protecting him. Just my two cents.

Backwards Logic makes good points, but I still think vote:spaceman is the best lead we've got.

Oh, so my meta was simply based on a mistake.

Well, it seems I am doomed anyway, so some final thoughts. First, why is everyone so sure grevious is the last trade fed? There where 29 people. With 2 scumteams, 4 scum per team and an SK and vidge is a perfectly possible set up. Moreover, the atomic missile sounds like the kind of attack that would be 1 shot and unblockable, and usable by greviouses space Drednought, which means that as Backwards Logic said, your roleblock would have been irrelevant if I was grevious.

Zack seems to speak for a town network and he was right yesturday. I still find the town's sheeplike trust of him suspicious given that he has not made much in thread analysis. Then again, I can understand a network remaining silent to not reveal to much to the mafia.

SamSniped's last post strikes me as wierd, given that Azzaman is a scanner, or speaks for a scanner. Similarly strange is TBK's accusation against NC, especially now that we know NC is the doctor. Finally, I would like to remind everyone of topsecret's flinch in response to my list of suspicion a while ago.

Sam may have made a townie mistake. Topsecret would have been justified, if not for the fact that he has lurked much of the game. TBK's logic is somewhat faulty, but it seems less scummy than topsecret's lurking.

Thus, vote: topsecret.

Go ahead, strike me down with all your anger, I'm just a shopkeeper....

Bah! This is the way I won Pirate Ship Mafia II - networking and process of elimination.

And lucking it out to become the captain from the start and… well, if by 'process of elimination' you mean 'killing off a few competitors' then you're right.

GeneralHankerchief designed the game for the first captain to die within the first couple phases. ;)

But this is off-topic.

Yes, it was an everything trying to kill you setup.

Well it looks like the town network has spoken. I have to say that a insta-kill ability for grevious seems more likely to me then a random ship kill ability only being used this late in the game. Now if it was a peace-moon super lazer I could understand it having taken this long to build...

Unvote: Vote: Spaceman98

I have to say I would prefer going after Darth Caesar at this point. But as it is the first lead on Grevious, flimsy though it may be, I will change my vote as well. Not that trying to vote against this impending Wagon would do anything.

topsecret was targeted for death night 2 before the killer swapped. He was attacked outright night three and blocked via a diplomacy roll, with his attackers description being Grevious it is obvious he is not linked to the Trade Federation Scum either way, no matter his continual voting abstains.

...
I also confirm that spaceman is likely to be watto (his claim)

...
Spaceman (claimed watto) also has a beard, which can be consistent with the ep 3 watto (see comic 292 for bearded watto).

I had to go back quite a way to get these quotes, but I think it really needs to be pointed out. Spaceman is a confirmed beardman, which matches his claim of Watto.

The only unknown beards at this point are Qui-Gon Jinn, Sio Bibble and Cliegg Lars. Considering that the latter two might not even be in this, it that is a small number of alternate possibilities.

More importantly,

Grievous.jpg

Unless that little faceplate counts as a beard, neither Valorum or Grievous have a beard, ergo unless Kennigit was lying or confused Spaceman cannot be our Grevious Killer.

I know people will probably not listen to me, but I myself will be changing my vote.

IC: This is an outrage, arn't there laws (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ShopliftAndDie) against this!? (I maintain that I am Watto)

1: How do you know all this? Attacked, yes, but "blocked with a diplomacy roll"... You seem to know more than a simple senator.
2: You are forgetting that there are probably 2 scumteams. This is a 30 player game with numerous scanners of various things, an SK a Vidge and a Doc. Also, we know Darth Vader is not in the same scumteam as the trade feds. I am not saying topsecret is a trade fed. I am saying he is a mafiosi.

Unvote, Vote: Autolycus

Yeah, spaceman's claim seems legitimate.

EDIT: Although I will say, defending another player to such a degree is HIGHLY unusual for two townies, unless they are masonic partners.

1. I read the thread, four times or so, making notes each time based on what I have figured out on the previous read through. It's all in the thread, Buddhafish claimed topsecret was going to be attacked Night 2 and the Night was extened another 24 hours because of his claimed ability. His attacker then swapped to Bhuddhafish or JoanK. The 3rd Night Grevious attacked topsecret (you can tell by the description of the attacker having multiple lazer swords.) But was blocked by topsecret himself. The Diplomacy role description of the ability is based off RP games. The ability basically allowed him to talk his way out of the confrontation. Given that the major senators are pretty much known, there are few characters who would have a diplomatic ability like that and the main one is very pro-town.

2. If there is another scumteam it hasn't been found yet, I'm not going to jump to conclusions. I will say that just like Valerom may not be in it, but his cyborg counterpart is, so too might either both or only one of Anakin and Vader be in this. Personally I am more worried by the idea that shapeshifters might be a faction. Along with the implied abilities... With Greedo/Han solo still unfound and both him and Zam Wessel being shapeshifters I figure it's some kind of Mercenary team. (Is that the right terminology? Its been awhile since I've done mafia.)

I'm trying to be useful here, considering it looks like the town vigilante is off the chain and killing whomever they please.

I mean I think spaceman is still wrong on a lot of things and should throw out his Personal Goal or Abilities or something if he really wants to prove he wants to live.
