Deity Challenge #13 - The Dutch

OMG Deity is hard!

I tried a Dutch deity game just before on the small continents map where all gets a large island for themselves + some other islands for later settling. Started out on a fairly nice island with an okay amount of resources and alot of marshes for the polder UI.
When i founded my second city, the americans move an settler to my island this forced me to declare war, otherwise they would claim and settle my island(they seem to have a habit of doing that). By the time I was half way trough the ancient times most other had reach the medieval age. All wonders had been built 2 or 3 techs before I even researched them. And there was several enhanced religions.
The US bombarded me with Triremes each time i sunk 1, 2 others appears. I finally gave up. :(

OMG Deity is hard!
:(

That pretty much sums it up

But a sweet ride once you get it figured out, not I have quite yet, maybe if I can beat this one which no one complained of being too easy so far, I will be able to say that

I thought this was interesting.

Spoiler :
Manage to snipe La Venta from Mongols before they took it. (I just happened to have a spearman in range.)

Welp.

Spoiler :
Rome won via science at Turn 265 :(

Lizzy had like 5 times Augustus's army, but Lizzy got nuked and couldn't stop him from turtling and getting all the shiny spaceship parts. Sigh.

This time, I managed to keep the Mongols at bay and took over Pacal. By the time I got that done, however, I was still on crossbows and both Rammy and Genghis were on rifles... so I sat and turtle... and well, it didn't go too well =\

The map is definitely beatable. All I needed was to make half a dozen nukes and cripple Augustus while Lizzy and Isabella clean up. I am not sure if I really want to backtrack 40-50 turns just to do that though.
