Dem hold Debate...

The Chicago media is saying Obama took one on the chin (Tony Rezko is coming out of the woodwork) and Broom Hillary was the winner amongst the contenders.

I missed the debate, but that was how the MSNBC bubbleheads were calling it in the part of the post-debate coverage that I caught. However, their viewer polls gave it to Obama, then Edwards, then Clinton. I generally don't trust the bubbleheads to be able to properly call the winners or losers, so who knows.

Me rankings:

Hillary Clinton definitely did the best to me, and I don't like her. Edwards came in second, not too far off. I give Biden 3rd but he seemed too statesmen-like and not presidential (he reminded me of Kerry, who was excellent in the 2004 debates). Obama and Richards tied for 4th/5th, with Richards seeming kind of dumb but capable and Obama seeming wise but not knowledgeable. Obama just isn't a great debater (watch him vs Alan Keyes on youtube), even though he's the best speaker among them.

I can't take Kucinich and Gravel seriously, though I degree agree with some elements of the moral philosophy of nonviolence. As leaders of America they don't quite cut it. And Dodd was simply the biggest loser. :p Take Gephart and make him 5 times more boring.

Finally, we in the Obama camp are the most internetially organized--of course we mobilize and give our guy the winning vote in online polls.

That sounds kind of boring actually. Did the audience have a hard time staying awake?

I didn't watch it, but people who have the same views in general are horrendously boring to watch. Kind of like 3 old men agreeing it's raining when it's pouring outside. I'm waiting until the competitors for both parties have to start separating themselves from each other. Then, the fireworks will fly.

Were there any prostests like the 2000 national convention?

it's a debate, not a convention
