You just joined and quit Balmung. You quit and rejoin NESing every few months.

I see no reason to believe that you won't repeat the pattern.

I didn't intend to join and quit Balmung- RL pressures increased significantly for a while, so I decided to join the NES in order to deal with them. Partly because pressures have abated, and partly because a DiploNES is simpler than Balmung, I can now afford to rejoin one.

With regards to your second point, that's one of the things I'm going to try and reform.

Gentlemen, while I know this may sound corny, I wish to thank you all in advance for this game we're about to play. I've loved Diplomacy for years now, and I'm glad to see another game starting up. Let's all play to the best of our abilities and make this game fun as can be!

Otherwise: maybe they just don't want to reply to you ? Such is the pain of playing Italy; you're nobody's primary concern, and not even a secondary concern to some.

Since there's only 3 hours left, I'm hereby pushing the deadline back by 24hours to 9 PM GMT June 22nd, even though I really hate to have to do this. If Omega does not show up by 3 PM GMT (within 21 hours of now), he will be replaced by a reserve player (Lord of Elves). Hopefully those 6 hours will be enough for the reserve player to get their diplomacy in; if not, I guess I'll have to push the deadline back another 6 hours...

Also, what was your opinion of Duke Nukem Forever? I personally really dislike what they did with it; most of the game feels less like a sequel to Duke Nukem 3D and more like a screwed up mix of Half-Life 2 and a rail shooter with the flaws of both Halo 1 and Halo 2 (but neither of their strong points). On top of all that, it was extremely easy on the hardest difficulty, with the only challenge being the Pinball machine.
