DLC Modpack Repository

Here's a 12-15 modpack https://ipfs.*****eese.net/ipfs/QmW...RPzsxCAPzo8mQoNGPwzHv?filename=vp_12.15.ts.7z
This hotfix needs another hotfix though, AI game start handicaps are crazy.

Thanks Voker. The handicap bug is a bummer, but it sounds like it might be a couple weeks before Gazebo works on VP. So in the meantime, I'll be playing this version since I've already played a few games with it (I play at a lower difficulty anyway, so it doesn't affect me as much). Your modpack is invaluable to me until there's a new version. I've been using your previous modpacks already, so thanks for those too. You're rad!

Hi,

Would it be possible to also create a 62 civ CP? If it's a lot of work, I (and a team of people) are more than willing to help, but I don't know how to begin. Any pointers in the right direction would be amazing!

43 major civs is, with the increased memory overhead from the CP DLL, the maximum supported value. Any more than that and you will get crashes.

If I've already started a game with Vox Populi as a mod, then install it as a mod pack, will I still be able to use the same game save from mod to mod pack? Or will I have to start a new game?

Hey all,

As the old Modpack repository is now out-of-date (and I can't manage it myself), I've decided to have it unstickied and create one of my own. I'll do my best to keep it up to date. This will contain links to working modpacks for the latest version as well as links to 43-civ versions.

If you wish to create a modpack, feel free to post it here and I'll update the main thread when I see it.

Modpack Instructions and Downloads

Introduction:

This is the Community Patch Project by Gazebo as a Modpack.
It's intended for those who want to use the CPP in multiplayer (online and hotseat), but you can also use it in singleplayer to earn achievements in a modded game or as an alternative in case you are encountering any difficulties with the installation/ usage of mods.

How to Install:

Download & unpack.
Copy the included folder 'MP_MODSPACK' to
Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC

How to Uninstall:

Remove the included folder 'MP_MODSPACK' from
Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC

How to Use:

Once the Modpack was copied to the required destination, just start the game, setup a new game (SP, Online MP, Hotseat) as you would in the unmodded Civ5 and play.
No further steps or usage of the Mods-Menu required.

When playing MP, please make sure that all players are using the same version of this modpack.

FAQ:

Spoiler :
Q: Can I use other Mods while using this Modpack?
A: This may be possible, but depends on the other mods. It must not be any DLL-mod, and you should also not try to load any of the mods included in this modpack (obviously). Other mods might work, but do it on your own risk.

Q: Is the Community Patch Only-Modpack compatible to the official version of EUI?
A: Yes, but you have to delete the YieldIconManager.lua and xml from
MP_MODSPACK\Mods\Community Patch (v 66)\LUA.

Q: Are there any restrictions for multiplayer?
A: No, as long as everyone is using the same version.

Please post your MP-experiences (everything worked fine? any crashes? desyncs?) into this thread to support Gazebo with sorting out any MP-related issues (if there are any).

Q: Are there any other changes compared to the original CPP?
A: Only those that are required to prevent any issues in MP, like replacing the selection-popups that could currently cause desyncs.

Q: Can I use it on a Mac?
A: Unfortunately not. No matter which method you use (mods menu, modspack), CP and therefore all mods that depend on it won't work on the Mac OS.

Q: Will savegames be compatible among different versions of the CPP (and therefore this modpack)?
A: This depends on the changes that were made, but the general answer is 'No'.
For this reason, previous versions will still be available here for download.

Q: Can I earn achievements while playing with this modpack in singleplayer?
A: Yes, all achievements should be unlockable.

Q: Can I play scenarios as well?
A: No, since the changes from CBP affect the gameplay a lot, trying to play a scenario is nothing else but a shortcut right to your desktop.
Or to make your computer explode. Not fully tested.

43-Civilization DLL Instructions and Downloads
Download the Auto-Installer and select one of three 43-Civ DLL options: https://mega.nz/#F!fcsEhALY!XpWbkVod5utm-S1s-7TUhQ

Manual Instructions (only if installing manually)
Spoiler :

1. Install the latest 1-12-1 VP as normal.

2. Download this mod from the link directly above.

3. Delete the DLL in (1) Community Patch

4. Open (1b) 43 Civx CP

5. Based on your choice of install, delete the other two folders from this mod (CP Only, EUI, or No-EUI).

5a. For example, if using the full VP with EUI, delete the CP only and No-EUI folders from (1b).
6. Take note of the XML and LUA files remaining in the (1b) folder. Navigate to the LUA folder of the version of the mod you are running and copy/paste those LUA/XML files from (1b) into that folder, overwriting as necessary. Do not delete the lua/xml files from (1b), as they aren't all duplicated!

6a. Example: If Just using (1) Community Patch, Open (1) Community Patch/LUA and copy/paste all xml/lua files from (1b) 43 Civs CP/CP Only into this folder.

7. Enable (1b) along with all other applicable mods.

8. If you did it all successfully, you will be able to increase the number of major civilizations in the game setup menu to 43.

Note: The MAXIMUM number of major civilizations is 43, the maximum number of total civs major and minor is 63.

Hey, new to the forums here, got a question for you.

I've been trying to make a 22 Civs game with my friends on a Play The World map. We all installed the modpack, and the map .lua. And it all seemed to go fine. We got some desync problems, but I saw those mentioned earlier in this thread and I think we can fix those with syncing up all our files correctly and chilling the barbarians and/or removing events (right??).

My question is: How do I make an online lobby with 22 Civs? Without this modpack it's fine, because I've edited the Civ5Worlds.xml so the default player count is 22 for all map sizes. But this modpack overrides the Civ5Worlds file, and whenever I make an online lobby with this installed, the maximum "slots" for civs in the lobby is 12 (on Huge size). It's probably an easy way to fix this, and I'm being an idiot, but can anyone help?

Thanks

I have the same exact question (and I am new too). I have no clue how to get the dlcmodpack work with 43 civs *in multiplayer*.

The corresponding lines were in the Override folder, in the Civ5Units.XML!
Thank you, ashendashin!

But,... why would we need the '43-Civ dll' if we just need to modify the XML?

If you want a 43 civ modpack you'll need to pick the 43 civ version with the installer and then make the modpack yourself https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/mpmpm-multiplayer-mod-dlc-hack-updated.533238/
Won't work otherwise. The dll itself is what allows 43 civs at the cost of minor civs(city-states and barbs count as players. max 64 players) and there's some stuff needed to support it.

i extrakted the file and placed MP_MODSPACK and UI_bc1 in the dlc folder.

I can start the game but i can't build stuff in cities. there are no buildings or units in to build.

We had the same problem with the mod. It has to do something with the big resolution. Go to Options -> Video options and uncheck "Automatically Size Interface". Try also checking and unchecking "Use small interface". If that is not helping, try to change resolution.

Here is the latest modpack (EUI-version): https://mega.nz/#!kLAC3azB!bnQhaikiwDuJRKpZV70xYQifoJE5eA4Lu-DSi0KpDD0

Can I add more mods to the My Games /MODS directory and continue on through to the "Mod" games menu and play a game? Or is this specifically supposed to be used through the "single player" new game option?

Don't know but i would use normal install of the vox-populi mod in that situation because it really doesn't make sense to use modpack if using other mods through mod menu. I am using modpack versions to play multiplayer games.

Here is the latest version of the modpack: https://mega.nz/#!VHpUTDbD!lyXLsjqPfkd0SP1zw-sQV5TkjdWnj5UkkUg9gAIKVRA (1-26 EUI)
