DLC Modpack Repository

Hello Everyone,
I edited the CIV5Units.xml in the Modpack "path:\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC\MP_MODSPACK_VP_3-7\Override" to include a few mods that I am fond of. Including Ryika's Scouts and Subs Ignore Borders and R.A. Dalton's Realistic Unit Resource Consumption with my own preferences. With Iron representing Steel or Cast Iron for armor in ground/naval industrial era units forward and Aluminum for air units. Consideration for propulsion was taken as well, so that Coal, Oil and Uranium fill those roles. In the case of Modern Armor, Oil is propulsion and Uranium (depleted Uranium) is used to create the armor. Hopefully this serves to add some realism and a soft cap to how many units may be created at a time.

I wanted the Civilopedia to reflect the following discovery order for resources : 1 Horses, 2 Iron, 3 Paper, 4 Coal, 5 Oil, 6 Aluminum, 7 Uranium. Also, I removed the "Requires Oil" line from the description of Guided Missile in both the \en_US\UnitText.sql and Civ5Units_Mongol.xml

Edit: I recommend playing with Abundant resources as nearly all mid to late game units require a resource of some kind.
Also, if anyone knows how to or has interest in creating Wood as a strategic resource, please share your methods.

As promised, here's the link for the most recent, 43-civ, NON-EUI modpack I created last night. I tested and confirmed that the VP features are showing up in-game, although I didn't do any extensive testing because...it should just work the same as the current autoinstaller version from which it was made. Just download and extract into your DLC folder and it should work. Enjoy!

I have added the following mods though:

1. FlagPromotions (v 7)
2. Quick Turns (v 10)
3. UI - Improved City View (Vox Populi EUI) (v 10)
4. UI - Religion Spread (Vox Populi) (v 1.0)
5. Unit Path Viewer (v 10)

I've tested it in Multiplayer. It worked fine with Barbs until turn 100 or so and then started giving us desynchs. So as usual, use Barbs at your own risk.

Few changes only. Faster, Better, and more stable!
1. All mods used is latest (VP and Promotions updated. thank you @adan_eslavo :^o)
2. removed extra victory and unit tree(for now)
3. changed some stuff in compatibility mod (thank you @Infixo !)
4. added Better City View mod and Building Upgrade

Hello, nice to meet you. are you sure that barbs are the problem? not quick turn? It would be neat if quick turn is compatible with multiplayer.

Nice to meet you, too, Nik! You're right, there is no basis for my assumption that the desyncs are caused by barbs, I've just always had more desyncs with barbs than without them while using the MP_Modpacks (without any additional mods). Anyways, thanks for pointing out that Quick Turns might be an issue here since it is single player only apparently (or so it says on its steam workshop page). I'll rebuild the modpack without Quick Turns and see what happens.

@Gazebo Can you update the main post. The modpack is from march of LAST YEAR, and people might think it is the most up-to-date version. (not looking at the year number)
I think adding a note saying that it is outdated is the minimum to do if you don't have the time to create a new official modpack.

Try with a different modpack. You never know, maybe your download was faulty.

Hello Hosannah. Your last modpack was great. I had never tried Vox Populi with those QoL extra mods you added, but they really enhanced my last few games. You wouldn't happen to have an updated modpack for the newsest version (3-11) you could share with us, would you? I know it would be much appreciated here. Thanks either way for the last modpack.

i was playing your previous 2_27 version, the one with quick turns. really liked it, thanks. enemy units didn't have the red outline though, only cities. i think EUI should do that, i don't know if it's something with the pack, or i missed some setting somewhere.
