DLC Modpack Repository

We have problems with the latest modpack (5-20-3). It is desyncing constantly when playing multiplayer. Before that it was working very well with multiplayer even with barbarians on.

Here's a 5-20-3 modspack which I've used to play with a friend online for about 75 turns without a single desync (pitboss, all events, chill barbs, simultaneous movement).

Link: https://ufile.io/ibbld

I have added the following mods:

1. Unit Path Viewer (v 10)
2. UI - Improved City View (Vox Populi EUI) (v 10)
3. UI - Religion Spread (Vox Populi) (v 1.0)
4. UI - Filters in Trade Route Overview (Vox Populi) (v 1)
5. UI - Show XP in Military Overview (v 2)

so... is it the same as this one? https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...rsion-repository.609278/page-17#post-15135023
Is something wrong with it, is something different or did you just overlook it?

Umm... I'm not quite sure what you mean, but it's not the same. This is the first 5-20-3 modpack I've created. However, since some people were complaining about desyncs with that version, I just thought I'd post it. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying the version that you (?) or whoever created is faulty, I'd rather assume it's a user/client side issue. If they have the same issues with the one I posted, it is just more likely that something on their end is the problem.

Alright then. It just happened to be the same version with the same UI mods (which were your idea originally), so it should basically be the same. :dunno: I find it weird that you still upload them, but ok. I'm glad you're still modpacking and sharing though!

I basically wanted to say:"Here's another modpack. If you're still having issues, it's on you". I certainly didn't want to step on your toes.

I have strange problem with this multiplayer mod.
I have installed Vox Populi (auto-run) and then i unpack files for multi session.
And... it didnt change. I can play single (when i activate mod) but single player and multiplayer its like nothing happened - still vanilla settings.

I tried the same on other computer (PC) and it worked just perfect.
Im really confused...

What im i doing wrong?

To play multiplayer, you have to use a modpack (not the auto-installer, it is only for single player)
Take the modpack from Hosannah in previous message, and try to follow this:

What's the problem exactly? Are you trying to play with a modpack (which is why you're writing here and stating it's a multiplayer mod?) or are you playing the basic installation-driven mod, which is singleplayer only?
I'll try to explain the basics, that might help, although i'm not sure yet what you're doing wrong.

a) Single player is playable by downloading and installing through the auto-installer. This version is always available directly from our lord and savior Gazebo. You can play it by activating all 6 mods in the game menu after installing. The mods are numbered (1) through (6). All those 6 must be selected to play VoxPopuli.

b) Multiplayer is only possible with a modpack. All computers must download the same version* of the modpack and copy it into their respective DLC-folder: "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC" like this:
1.jpg

(the zipped folder is not necessary. It's just for visualization)

c) With a Modpack it's still possible to play singleplayer. You don't even need to activate any mod in the menu, just start a new game the normal way. The reason behind this, is that a modpack simulates VoxPopuli to be a DLC instead of a mod.

d) It's not necessary to install VP if you're playing with a modpack, neither in SP nor in MP.

e) If you have a modpack but wish to play vanilla again, simply remove the modpack folder from the DLC folder. But that's crazy! Why would you do that! This is madness!

*with a few UI only exceptions

Well... i didnt have idea, so i have done always when im powerless "clear the deck".
I uninstall whole game, and install it again. And it worked.

Im sory for taking your time. I should have done it before :/

Have a question about an error me and a friend experience while playing this mod in multiplayer. Especially in the begging of the game we get constant reloads where the game goes to the loading screen and reloads the game. Why does this happen, especially a lot in the begging of the game? Could it be goody huts or the events?

We just play through them, especially since they become more rare as the game goes on, but it is very annoying.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Which version? If it is 2018-05-30, then it is a bug (mainly due to auto-explore). If it is the last version, I don't know. (Usually, playing without barbarians help, but it is not really satisfying)
