Well, it's odd that I have a sorta builder set, but at least I took out 3 mini SODs while doing it :D Even if those sods consists of chariots, pults, a sword, and a spear without losing a single unit.

and Machinery will be online in 3 turns for some maces. After that, maybe calendar for some happiness. Though we did not get confusionism as someone beat us to it by a couple of turns. I also converted to Bureaucracy.

I did manage to build markets in most cities to minimize costs. That stack should move out and generate some cash for us.

I did get a GG whom I have settled in our capital to churn at 9exp WE and Keshiks.

Also, there is a spear to the south of our stack hidden in shadows that you can't see on the screenies.

As I've already reported, we now have markets in most of our cities. I haven't built any courthouses cuz maintainance isn't a problem yet.
 
Made a few micromanagement changes ... nothing much really to rave about. Just a bit worried abt our economy, once the stack moves out we would probably need to slide our research bar down a notch or two.

There, first Carthage city fell, as we get Sailing and settled a city of our own:

While the computer's suggestion is good, I rather have the city start working on cows from day 1. Leptis was kept as well, since it is an okay location, and we want as many cities as possible to go for top score. If you had not understand the reason for Fishing and Sailing, it is for Calendar.

We can't keep adding MPs to advance the happy cap. Calendar now seems a good way to gain happiness as we have a few happy resources. Note also that the Egyptian is settling towards us, so be careful there, we will have to start adding defenders in the two southern cities.

Hindu Holy City with Shrine, the brand new Parthenon, yummy! After that, I suggest splitting a small force to go after the city on the east, while the majority of the forces continue to sweep west.

Research wise, I chose metal casting after calendar. Suggest going for machinery.

I also have a settler ... suggest adding a city somewhere SW of New Sarai.

the only benefits is other AIs are denied using SoZ against us.
Precisely and a substantial benefit in my opinion, especially on Emperor where WW (for the human) is not inconsequential
 
@Atlas: true, however setting AW on offset that. It is still good to remove SoZ from play. It is the Shrine mostly that makes me drool, however :)

@berserks: as Sunrise can post that his Civ PC is out of internet connection, he has access. So, presumably, he can download the save, transfer to Civ PC with USB stick, play, transfer the save and screenshots back, and post. Unless ofcourse his internet PC is somehow USB disabled (eg office PC, internet cafe) ... but anyway, I am just trying to bump this thread with meaningless chatter while we wait ;)
 
Good news first: Ramesses of Carthage is totally gassed, he'll be dead soon. Those were very pleasant 10 turns.

I've been assembling the beginning of a second stack in the northwest, the first Maces are on the way. After finishing Ramesses we should turn south I think and put some pressure on our next neighbor. The AI seems to get quite distracted with wonder whoring...
