For those that believe people have a right to work AND salary, you realize that means you believe that it is okay to force someone else to give that person a job and pay them.
Not necessarily. Right to work does not imply right to employment.

Yeah, they have right to work, food, water, home, land, children, family and love, animals in home, cars, Christmas, presents, Computers with limitless Internet, cell phones, limitless medical care, free meds, meds which try to extend life length and... Hope I should end this list as it may do me lean left too much  :mischief:

They had right-to-work laws in the south for many years, but not many are in favor of bringing those back.

More like saying you have a right to not be killed, but you don't have a right to demand help surviving.
That isn't really what Jesus said.

For those that believe people have a right to work AND salary, you realize that means you believe that it is okay to force someone else to give that person a job and pay them. Y'all really okay with that? Cuz if you are, I'll be happy to force you to give me a job and pay me.
That's a ridiculous. It's like saying that those who believe in national autonomy necessarily endorse a policy of lebensraum.

Well traitorfish, how else are you going to do it? If you think someone has a RIGHT to a salary, where is that salary going to come from unless you FORCE someone else to pay it?

I didnt really read the thread. But I don't understand the OP, really.

You could grant the right of a person to use unused resources in order to be able to provide for himself.

Right, which goes back to my first post in this thread. If they want to go piddle around in their garden then more power to them.

Socialism, of some form or another. Surely, you must have guessed that would be somewhere on my mind?

Which, incidentally, means I would not say that anybody has a right to a "salary", as such, because that is a particularly capitalist institution. Rather, they have the right to engage in and benefit from productive labour. The alternative, after all, is parasitism or starvation, and no innocent person should be reduced to either.

Yes, according to some:
Interesting translations of the Deuteronomy:

alien, the fatherless and the widow

foreigners, orphans, and widows

sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow

stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow

man from a strange land, the child without a father, and the widow

I guess the Bible supports illegal immigration.

Not necessarily. Right to work does not imply right to employment.
That is right. It is a known fact here on planet earth that employment and work have the same meaning.

Sad thing there is no Mexican Moses.:crazyeye:

You answered your own question!

Money or work. Precisely.

Don't get me wrong, I'm basically agreeing with you (Besides the "Let them eat Cake" attitude, they don't have an inherent right to a job, but we shouldn't pretend none of them are in their situations through limited to no fault of their own), however, my comment was mostly a joke comment.

OwenGlyndwr say: everyone has a right to work, but they do not have an entitlement. People who turn down perfectly legitimate work because they feel that it is too lowly for them have no one to blame but themselves.

And das da gospel troooof.
