It started snowing today, which is abnormal for this place, and it really made me realize how much I hate cold weather. I mean really hate, with a vengeance. If cold weather were a terrorist, I would be it's John McClane.

Do you dislike winter as well? Poll coming.

I am with you. Winter not only means cold weather here but also a constant fog layer half a kilometer above ground. There were winters you didn´t see the sun for a couple of months. I found that thermal baths and saunas can act against the bad weather caused mood. Looking forward to spring already. Still 4 months to go, though

Yes I dislike winter. A lot. Due to a weakened immunity system plus an inborn defect in my throat I have a virtually chronical laryngytis during the cold months. I am also in an age where reumatism starts to make its appearance (yes, yes, I know. I am a weakling:cry: ).
Norway is in most ways a great country to live in. But climate-wise it is only a second tier on my ranking...

I hate cold weather. It's below 70F here now at night and that is way to cold for me. I only like snow on a ski slope, which is actually one of my favorite events to do. Weird for someone who hates the cold so much. I like it hot. When everyone else thinks its too hot to go outside at all, that is when I go for a run. 100 degree club is the only club!

I have no Problem with winter, because it is a time that is cool. You must remeber the climate that I live in and for some of you, my winter wold be like some regions summer. Maybe more like Spring weather rather than actualy being wintry as being freezing cold.

Both

I like the witeness, and the cold, and the "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" ;)
I like the wite snow, so my perception of snow is reduced as culture makes nature less white ;)

I dislike the snow up to my ancles because someone has not cleared the sidewalk for snow.
I dislike driving in wintertime because even with very good tires, there are always people out there who are less careful, bound to crash into you because the ground is slippery
I dislike the potential yo-yo temperature, which makes ice under snow a serious threat to my health

But your mind is strong! :D

I learned to hate winter during a military exercise out in the Norwegian woods. Temperature below -30 C every day for a week.

The only bad thing is having to spend more on heating. Everything else is good. Especially the low humidity. I hate humidity.

Winter is nice. Driving can be much more exciting and challenging, and let's not discount snowball fights. :D

Cant really vote on this one. Winters great, really, but just as long as youre not forced be outdoors unless you feel like it :p .

Right now I dislike winter... first snow has fallen and I got to be at the University in 15 minutes :) .

I like winter clothes and accessories....scarves, gloves, boots, coats, sweaters etc... and winter food (soup, roasts, etc...) but i dislike the weather! It gets so dry and stuffy inside cos of the heating systems, and outside its too cold >_<

Actually that's the downside to winter, IMHO - women wearing too much clothing. :mischief:

I like winter only when snow comes down and you can skate on the ice.
Not that stupid - very cold but no snow or ice - winter.

Because I live in the Netherlands, snow and ice is special. And even if there is a traffic jam of 500 kilometres because of the snow, it is possible that Ivnt seen any of it ;(

Mmmm, not particularly. I had to shovel 4 inches of snow off the driveway the other day, and there is worse to come... right now the sidewalks are slick with ice, and it's still dark out at 7AM - no, I prefer summer.
