Yes. Especially in that case, where I posted via quick-reply, then closed it - there was a lag between when I said I'd close it, and actually closed it.

If its closed via the full 'post reply', then there is a check-box to close the thread - in which case it can't be posted in after the mod has 'said' its closed.

Thank you again Ainwood, you've been answering some of my long-sought after questions recently :p

An interesting look into the mechanics of this forums, at least.

I always like to see what lead to the thread being locked. It's rather interesting.

Note to Mods: If you make a habit of always using quick reply for your witty comments and then close the thread, you will add greatly to the entertainment value of the forums and provide "easter eggs" for us to "ooo and ah!" over in future threads.

I do mostly 'cause I don't pay enough attention to notice they are locked.

Same here, except that beyond not paying attention, I pretty much don't care. If the topic seems interesting I read it, locked or no.

lol is all i can do, lol.

Subtle reminders like my post will, over time, train them.

The surest way to get me to read a thread is to have it locked. I want to know who went over the line and how.
