Bush is bad because he doesn't understand the concept
that things don't always go as planned, and also because
he wants yes-(wo)men, not advisers.
The big similarity I see is that both are absurdly quixotic. Different ideals, but the same lack of common sense. Remind me of "the Fool" as depicted in tarot decks. Gaudy, colourful apparel (ie image), head held high, walking around happily in the bright sunny day - right off a cliff.
And strangely it seems they both incur the same sorts of consequences. Gas prices are rising and Iranian radicals are absolutely beaming with happiness. Idealism hits the real world and is reflected back on the TV as grisly scenes of carnage and failures of American power. The whole Chalabi thing was very naieve, "Carteresque", too. Iran, Iran, Iran.
