3000 BC scenario, m/n.
Krakow is a very good capital -- wheat, deer, copper, iron, cow, and a lot of rivers, only 2 peaks unusable, you just have to raze Berlin and Wien.
I Settled Riga on cow as 2nd city, teched drama-paper-education-philosophy-banking(bulb)-economics-constistution-liberalism-bulb democracy...... bought printing press from China and I founded Protestantism. My first GP is an engineer and it built Apostolic Palace.
You have to fight as Polish. Conquered Kiev with starting force, then kill Viking - the silver from Oslo is SO IMPORTANT, maybe your only luxury resource in 300 years (with luck you can buy wine from French, and other luxuries from Asians), without it you have to tech drama and keep 20% culture rate, or keep a lot units for happiness, but I chose Theocracy+bureaucracy. Viking collapsed but I left Nidaros untouched until endgame, crappy spot although it has fur.
The second target was Russia, I razed Sankt-Peterburg and made peace. You have to harass and weaken them or they'll get an army against you. I razed it twice (and they rebuilt it twice after peace).
The third target was Holy Rome - when they were fighting against French. I razed Wien and Brandenburg, French conquered Frankfurt once but German retook it. Barbarrossa capitulated after I razed Brendenburg. This vassal helped my happiness a bit.
After that, Byzantine. Byz is scripted to collapse in 1400. I forgot to have a knight camping nearby, so I captured Constantinople from Turks. Also got Singidunum, Dyrrachion(Great Lighthouse), Athens(Temple of Artemis + Great Library) and Sparta(Great Cothon).
I failed UHV #1 due to plague. Russia DoWed on me after I completed #2 and #3, this time I whacked them with cavalry and riflemen, and they capitulated after I captured Sankt-Peterburg and Moscow, I returned both cities to them. Russia really helps with domination victory!
My 3rd vassal was Turkey, After I razed Ankara and captured Trabzon. They also helped. 4th vassal was Mongolia, after I captured Samarkand. In the endgame I fought Mughals and English as well, with infantry.
I could win this game earlier if I stopped research and built settlers earlier. French was superpower this game and they controlled Rome, I didn't fight them once, but I got Rome via congress in 18th century. Polish domination is really some challenge(but not too hard) and fun.
