Does anyone honestly think Pakistan should be invaded?

It was my misfortune at a friends house to hear his dad talking about how Pakistan should be invaded for sheltering Osama. I would have passed it off as a simple comment, but unfortunately many people I've talked to support the idea. I looked up on Wikipedia, and they have the world's 6th largest army. The terrain in some areas is absolutely horrible, having been there a few times. The population would like get hugely pissed at the US for invading, which is not good considering you're dealing with the 6th largest population at the world. And uh, oh yeah, THEY HAVE NUCLEAR MISSLES. I honestly have no idea how anyone can support such an idiotic idea, considering how well the last two invasions went. Invading is the easy part; keeping control is when it gets messy. Please, CFC, give me hope that the world has not lost its mind.

In the sense of a large scale, regime-change invasion, it'd be a very stupid move, on many levels. In the sense of black ops invasions to get at bad guys...who knows?

The only "invasion" I would support is the taliban controled border regions on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border and even that would be with the permission of the Pakistani government. It is not a massive area anyway just a bit hilly like Afghanistan but at the moment it may as well be a mini-taleban nation.

Well, I'd suppose that the well who think Pakistan should be invaded think dropping atomic bombs here and there would solve everything.

If Osama is, in fact, in Pakistan, he would get killed, and all those other reasons you used to argue against an invasion of Pakistan would no longer be true.

Solution: Drop a couple of atomic bombs. Blame it on India. India can scrub it and get it as a profit.

And your friend's dad might want to look up the definition of "sheltering." Assuming bin Ladin is in Pakistan, Pakistan is "sheltering" him as much as the U.S. was "sheltering" the UniBomber.

There is simply not the slightest chance to the Anglo part. The million Pakistani-British and Bangladeshi-British would riot in the streets with a couple of million other Brits with them.

Of course we should invade them. Annex them as well. They'll become the 51st state, which we shall call East Dakota. Sure, there'd be some complaints from them at first, but after we've opened up a sufficient number of McDonalds, they'll be too overweight to be an actual threat anymore.

Well, we're also going to be taking something in Africa, which will be West Dakota (No, that doesn't make sense cardinal direction wise, but neither is America calling Europe "The West"). It has long been the plan of the American government to collect a perfect set of every possible cardinal direction Dakota.
