Dominion NES

So it looks like Kyzarc's not going to get ordes in and no longer has time to devote to this NES. I'm going to post the update sometime soon, but waiting for delayed orders made it impossible for me to work on it before now, so I certainly won't have time to finish it this week-end, and next week's busy work-wise.
So the update will be late and will probably be the last update too because the list of player has shrunk too much of late.

sorry to hear that Ldi... i liked following your NES...
having said that, it was a good run.

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!:cry::cry:

Oh no LD, please dont quit this NES! T_T I'm having really so much fun right now, there's still more things to do! T_T

@Milarqui: Before you could transform the world in the world of death, you must first defeat the nation of Abysia and Lanka! :D

Last update.

UPDATE TWENTY FIVE
Wrath from the seas

A rogue wizard in Arshnoc blasts a laboratory, killing many other wizards in the process.
In T'ien Chi, Arshnoc brings soldiers who build trebuchets to tear down Lankan defenses. Many wizards rebel against Arshnoc, and side with Lanka, but Arshnoc troops are more numerous, better equipped, and benefit from the help of several Shinuyaman trolls. Lankans are forced to evaduate the province, their ships ready to bring back their troops to their home island.

In the Abysia province of Marignon, the council held in Catalonia has finally ended. Yllena has managed to convince the whole council about the truth of Blood Magic. Inquisitor Guissepe el Migo was so convinced of Yllena's words that he tore his robes and made a bloody scar on his chest with a sharp knife indicating his commitment to a new faith. Marignon's priest leaders have finally accepted the assimilation to the Abysian faith which they stated on the new Marignonian Constitution.
Abysians organised an election in the province, with each inhabitant having a right to express their choice for a governor. Angelique d'Armont came first in the provinces of Catalonia, Madrigal, Barcelona and Cadicia, thereby winning the election ahead of the former Inquisitor Tomaso del Monteferrada. Angelique was a young girl at the time of the war between Marignon and Abysia, and she fought against the invaders, but she long since renounced war. Now her pure faith led many to ask her to represent their country and guide them in this new era. Celebrations were held in all Marignon after the elections.
In C'tis, the rumors of the death lich Slaash returning from the death has sparked much unease. So far the War Minister Fiera has yet to find if the basis for this rumors are true or not.
As Mictlan priests explain that the only way to reach the Mantis is to leave one's body forever behind oneself, Abysians convince their priestess Selena ro renounce talking to the Mantis. She isn't certain whether it is absolutely necessary for her to die to meet the goddess, or whether Mictlanese priests don't trust others to talk directly to their goddess. Most priests understand that allowing anybody to talk directly to the god without their intermediary would probably weaken the social order and holy role of the church.

In Vanheim, the dwarves are getting more and more unreliable. Many of them talk nonsense even more nonsensical than humans and vanir were used to hear. They keep rambling "F'taghn", "Azatoth" and other such meaningless words.

In Ulm, Ermor wizards reanimate dead sailors from the Sunken lands sea, but they don't awaken only dead men. As corpses emerge from the waves on their ghost ship, other things emerge from the seas:

Shamblers, enslaved mad mermen, lobotomised atlanteans, rush from the waters and invade Uim. The same monsters emerge from the seas and attack the Jotunheim province of Agartha, driving the giants from their land. Those who survive the sea monsters slowly lose their minds.
In Kymriu, Ermor undead start killing the population, which flees south to seek refuge in Mictlan lands.

South of Mictlan, the Machaka population is frightened. Although they haven't been invaded by anyone, many report seeing strange silhouettes at night. Some say there are many more will-o-wisps in the marshes, and that the jungle is less and less secure.

B]Shinuyama[/B] troops in Eriu invade Tir na n'Og. Their strength is such that they walk over Mictlan defenses easily, their many demons equipped with magical swords and armors cutting through Mictlan militia with ease.
Two of the Queens of Elemental Waters, along with Shinuyaman navy, patrol around Eriu island, warding off any ships trying to land or evacuate. All Mictlanese ships regroup in Central Ocean and move north into Fomorian sea to try to get rid of the Shinuyaman navy.
The battle is fierce. Mictlanese ships are sturdier, and have a small advantage in numbers, but Shinuyama makes up for the lack of quality with the Queens of water, who curb the waves to their will and hinder Mictlanese maneuvering.
As the ships are boarding each other, and while Shinuyaman Queens wreck galleon after galleon, suddenly Bathusma, Queen of the Deep, screams in terror and sinks. Soon, Thalassa, Queen of the Seas, follows suit. The tide of battle turns. Mictlanese ships gain an advantage, and manage to sink several quinquiremes. The remnant of Shinuyaman ships disengages, and Mictlan galleons regroup and anchor themselves in order to plug holes and heal their wounded.
Then, something emerges from the waters. Squid like beings, or beings with a head like a squid, show up all around the ships, and start flaying their tentacles towards the sailors. The Mictlanese fall, one after the other, their minds burnt by the marine monsters.

I'm sorry to stop the NES now but it requires too much work for me to continue with the number of players diminshhing. I'm particularly sorry for the newest players, obviously, as Abysia had lots of great stories to write and tell.

I think the last update explains a bit more what actually happened to the Pantocrator. So for those who want to understand what happened, here goes:

R'lyeh is called the "Fallen Star" nation in Dominion: A star fell upon the world, and killed the Pantocrator, submerging his Holy lands under the seas. It took many years for the inhabitants of this rock to emerge. They first conquered the depths of the sea, frightening atlanteans, some of whom fled and reached Mictlan where they lived on shore, hoping that the evil from the depths would remain there. Now, much later, R'lyeh has enslaved all deep atlanteans and is emerging from the waters, sending dreams of madness to the shores. A few events in Kymriu and Ulm in past updates hinted about it.

Ohhh, ah well. Could you send the Last Stats, jut so we culd Compare?

well, i know i bailed but i want to say i had a lot of fun
the orders i wrote for this NES were often the most complex orders i wrote for any NES (as ldi can attest to)... i obviously spent a lot of time on this and thats because i loved doing it.

So thank you so much LDi.

Spoiler maybe not appropriate to write here :

Ldi, and others, if you want to join my NES (assuming some game time just opened up for you), i need more players- check out the signature

Ah well. There goes my plan for killing Stheran for allying with Vanheim when they sent that rock at me

Playing this NES was actually very fun for me. A million thanks to you LD for this NES, and to everyone here for being such good sports! :D

Maybe perhaps we could revive this NES after some time like a year maybe and see what would happen next? :)

Anyways to everyone here...

GOOD GAME!

Hmmm, what Rock?

The horror beacon you old dwarf :p

Hmmm, the only thing we every sent you was the Money and Mana after Formoria. For onething, We were too busy with our golem factory to design anything else.
Oh, and had I designed a monster attractor, I woul have sent it to Jotunheim, not you. You overestimate my rivalry with you.

Yeah. Except that it had letters in VANHEIM runes. Now I don't exactly know what it said but I think I can guess.

Besides all potential followers of Azathoh must be eliminated.

Hmm, could it be, no, maybe...
ok, confesion time. Rmember back when Ulmish Spies were cought in Jotunheim? That was me. It coul be someone trying the same thing (or Hangadrott). Also, Mictlan DID claim some Dwarves as part of the Peace Treaty I made with them...

Also, no Van worship Azathoth. Those villagers whorship a squid with placebo powers. Any apparent Eldrich abilites were caused by mushrooms.

Ldi: I'm sorry that this is ending, it introduced me to the wonderful world of neses.

Saber: sorry, I burnt all the mushrooms earlier

Seon: HAH! I didn't do the ulmish spies thing! STOP BLAMING ME!

Bah close enough. Point wad that while I had various counters to demone and undead while no feasible counters for Celestial Soldiers of Arshnoc. They just had to go :scan:

Yeah, the spies were to try to get Jotnheim to move there forces south for my invasion. Might of worked if Mictlan hadn't joined in.
