How are children raised in an anarchist society?

I´d like to hear arguments of people who picked gold.
Hell, if I had the storage space, I´d pick booze today, never mind the doomsday scenario!

A Magnum Pistol and ammo. I would go do you feel lucky punk to every post apocalyptic man I rob.
You'd either fail to shoot one person, and get killed yourself, or you'd succeed until no one wanted to live with you, dooming the rest of your life to despair (and whatever deficiencies your possible lack of survival knowledge might also bring about).

By taking care of ourselves. And each other. Why do people think this is complicated?

Sounds fine and dandy for the people living inside the community.

Say I live outside the community and I want your house, I can just come in and take it. What with nothing to protect you but yourself, my army will have little obstacle in taking over the place and enslaving you or something.

I think there's a big misunderstanding about gold. It's not very useful in a crisis but owning it is a good way to preserve wealth over the crisis. A currency reform usually renders paper and electronic money worthless. Chances are that you'll lose a lot less of your wealth if you have gold, property and possibly stocks (but don't underestimate the risk of bankruptcies in a major crisis). In contrast to property and stocks you can buy gold anonymously (at least in Germany) and thus make yourself look poorer to the authorities (and that way be less bothered by any equalisation of burdens after the crisis). Too bad, I'm not wealthy but if I was I'd certainly consider buying gold...after I stocked up on the liquor to live through the crisis. ;)

I'd think that gold would be an easy pick for me. There's utility in a bottle of booze, but not all that much. The value of a gold coin is (theoretically) much higher. Ideally, I'd use it to store wealth while waiting for an actual economy to arrive. It would be better than lugging around a bottle of booze waiting for a 'fair' trade.

Liquour, because Scotland would instantaneously become the per capita richest country on Earth.
