DPII's Unit Previews

I wholeheartedly agree (poor unit creators, their work is never done).

Indeed Shiro, indeed. I believe DPII has planns to rehash his orginal three Elephant Units. Top-Gun did do some concept art for Indian infantry units, what could the Kymer have?
There was this little thread about Indochinese units that had a few ideas: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=104314. That, and the DBA Online army lists are particularly helpful for concept art -- they've got the Khmer and three different eras of Indian armies, if I'm not mistaken.

It's funny you should mention that..... ;)

Well.. it says he was Last Active Today....

Sorry for the bump old chaps, but I know DPII is still around - last active about 2 weeks ago. Just wondering if these units will ever be made?

Maybe as a surprise the day before Civ4 is out maybe. Since after that he will be leaving us for good for new pastures.

Don't worry though Ames, I WILL become as good as DPII was, maybe even Kinboat given enough time. So don't think our loss will be unfilled for long.

Well I hope he does. He was a great unit maker, and in terms of style and flavor one of my top 3. SOG you have progressed very nicely - can't wait to see what your future holds. I have my 3 projects I will do before turning to Civ4 myself to explore its possibilities. From the previews I have seen, I may very well come back to Civ3 - but I will give it a chance or two. ;)

Ah, the eager pride of youth.

I hope you are right. But if you'll look over the units of the top guys and then the rest, you will see that many aspire to the top. Not many achieve it. It takes patience and hardwork, and the least popular... time.

Yes. But I think having a Glass half full attitude is better than looking up at the tower and wondering how your going to climb it right Bjorn?

Don't worry, SOG - I have every confidence you will get there. You have been around for awhile, and seem to have more determination than most. I would make my own, but I just have no time, and modding is more fun for me anyway ;)
