Dr.NES - The DOOM Project: The Sapphire of the Sea

I. F**KING. KNEW IT!

Jarkko (All): The captain and comms officer were hostiles. All the people who were considered friendlies before are now hostiles, this includes all passengers. If confronted, shoot to kill, no hesitations. Anyone captured during the assault on engineering should be questioned and treated more favorably. It seems the "hostiles" who were in engineering were planted, and are most likely crew members with access to guns (most likely supplied by true hostiles).

In addition, everyone should come up with a plan of making it topside as quickly as possible, in case things get out of hand. This plan should involve bringing as much ammunition and weapons as possible. This would mean discarding non essential items, such as computers, glow sticks, etc.

To Sarge and Birch: We should get this ship towards warmer water, but not that far...just enough that icing is significantly less likely.

Remember, though, These people are clearly not all there, at least the "passengers." They seem to be exhibiting some symptoms of a drug induced aggression, reminiscent of the "Berserker" ability some Norsemen had (Or, a zombie-ish state, if I may drop into fiction here.)

I said that passengers should be treated as hostiles. I think its fairly safe to say most of the passengers have been zombified, right Dread?

Gabriel:

@All: Any person on board who is not part of our squad should be killed on sight.

@Aetius: There has been a synchronized attack on us by several 'civilians' including the Captain and Communications Officer. Their IDs seem to be original, though. We have been ordered to minimiza civilian casualties, I want to emphasize the difficulty in this as things stand.

@To All: I err on the side of caution, these attacks, while surprising, is to be expected from someone in a drug addled state. The discovery of an US Drug Enforcement Agent on this ship proves that there are drugs or some kind of experimental medical drug being tested, I would advise that we do not shoot on sight, unless threatened, but instead detain each person (or if numerous, herd them into a controllable room where one or two people with machine guns can watch over them.), if I can gain access to the Bulkhead doors and open and close them at command, I would advise we lock them in there until we are able to inform either the Military of the closest maritime power or the owners of the ship.

Again, if threatened, shoot to kill, but otherwise detain them if possible.

@Jarkko: Shoot the two men again through the head just to be safe, then we will drag them to a closet. I do not want to trip over them if we are assaulted.

@Birch: Do we have control over the engines from here? Can we now move the ship?

@Mod: Do we have any control over those Bulkhead doors? (The doors in question can only be opened or closed by a person in the Bridge or Engineering, and is used to prevent the ship from sinking if a hole were to form on the hull.)

You have control of the doors.

As for Birch, well, he can't respond as of now.

Alexandrov:

"This mission is starting to remind me of the one we once had in the amazon. I'm having really bad feeling about this".

Youriy turned to look at the splattered corpse on the floor and the passenger who did it.

"How the hell can anyone move that fast, and make that sort of damage in mere seconds? We were on guard, aiming at him. He was still able to pull this off".

Youriy opened the holster of his sidearm, and pulled out his silenced Glock.

"I don't know about you others, but I'm not taking chances with this guy anymore".

He then raised his Glock towards the passenger, and fired a round right through the passenger's kneecap.

"That should slow him down enough".

@Sarge:
I don't doupt a bit that these guys might be drugged, but drugs alone can't explain the speed and strenght of these guys. Didn't you mention that the captain just threw Birch through the window as if he was like a bag of beans? Also, is Birch ok? Where is he?

"Do what you want. I am shooting on sight. I have five spare magazines for a reason. I am guessing I can take on fifty unarmed hostiles as long as they don't horde. Which is what I am trying to avoid now. So. Shoot on sight."

Arnold: Agreed. Remember people, we don't know how many of them are within the ship. Save your ammunition and aim for the head. Let's get this job done with...

Alexandrov:

@all:
While I agree that all civilians should be treated as potentially hostile from now on, we have no way of knowing if there are actual civilians here still. Somehow I'm not terribly fond of slaughtering the entire ship. Hostiles should be given a chance to surrender. Therefore I suggest that before shooting we command the hostile to lay down on the floor, wait few seconds to see if he complies and then command again. If nothing happens, open fire.

What if the power is doing it? Perhaps turning the power on activated some signal: chemical pumps of some kind? Lets get the ship to a safer place and turn the thing back off!

@ dread: Is it possible to fashion a quick remote controled moter on the lever that controls the generator.

I hardly believe that to be the case. However, turning the power off might give us an advantage, at least to those who have night vision goggles or thermal image. Then again, all of us do not have those.

Good. I want to be able to turn it on and off while we are retreating to the infirmary or the bridge if it did indeed cause this change.

Roger:
I highly doubt the power had an effect. I saw two fast moving...somethings...on my cameras heading downstairs while the power was out.

@George-the-passenger:
How are you feeling buddy? Any weird urges? Has anyone done anything to you before we arrived?

@Doc:
I suggest we might want to restrain or detain this bridge officer down here with us.

Ilya:

Youriy has the right idea. Aim for limbs (legs being the preferance) of civilians unless they are openly hostile. Killing civilians might lead to a decrease in payment.

"Do as you please, I am not compromising my personal safety or the safety of the mission to avoid busting heads. We gave the people on the bridge too much line and now Birch is gone. I don't care if HQ thinks they are fair in penalizing civilian takedowns, I know what's best for us and hence the mission. Safety first."
