Dr.NES - The DOOM Project: The Sapphire of the Sea

The Grin:

"Sooo, I've got lots of ammo, and a grenade launcher ain't exactly ideal for fightin' in hallways. What are the chances I could break up the ice enough to get us movin'?"

"Also, Doc, did I hear right that this is bacterial crazy? Like Cholera? Any idea how this is spread? Like, if I get a cough, should I be worried? Hate to say it, but I forgot to bring my hand sanitizer."

@Team: I don't know the rate of transmission of this, or even vector. I'd say keep far away from any bodily secretions. I'm going to isolate myself and keep myself under Isolation and observation, as I've been close enough to the infected for a long enough time.

Well, we've got a large supply of it here: Come and get it.

@mod: are there any biohazard suits anywhere around? (Should have looked for that earlier, eh?)

Remember to check for contamination first, doc.

We should leave some mines and survalence in/near Engineering, as that is one of their goals. Unless we are giving it entirely to "them", we would still want some control. Besides, I set up some remote controls on the levers, so we can easily restart or stop if necessary.

OOC: So it seems this mission is suffering from a lack of leadership. Are we just a rag-tag group of mercs, or is there some sort of C&C structure? I don't want to have Finn take charge, since IC he's the only one without any military experience, but it doesn't really seem like we have a coherent plan, and no one is grabbing the reins.

That's all up for you guys to decide.

Bill:
Com'n guys! We have fire, we have power, and we have the experience to use it. Lets set a series of goals and go with it!

Lets do it the Electoral way?
Do we work with Wackos or not? If we can keep out of their hair and get our objectives, that is the least we can do. I also want to survive to spend my earlines.
How much are we willing to give to the Wackos if we work with them?
If we are against/ not work with them, do we kill them and impede them, or just ignore them as much as possible and just secure the mission? I say that if they don't kill us, we don't kill them. We need to find out if they will get publicity. The worst things that can happen is these: We blow up the boat defending it, we arrive with everyone, even any innocents, dead without proof. Or they are extremely dangerous and say, attack the port after we arrive. Remeber, our orders are to aid.. wait. I can' remember the briefing. Heck, I can't remember what exactly happened during the f*ing insertion. What the F* happened to my F*ing memor...
Wilhiem: Lets get back on track
What kind of missions need to be done and why?
-Save Birch One person, we are not sure if he is alive? Is his radio still active and can we track it? How about toilitaries or other equipment?
-Regroup And choose where.
-Clearing Corridors/Combat missions Needed if we work against them directly
-Holding of key areas (Engineering is still needed: they can turn the power off when we leave) Engineering is still crucial if we wish to get this thing back in port: so are the radios and controls, and that means the bridge. We also might need to hold some place for our wounded if we leave the Infirmary, as we likely will.

OOC: Orders are coming soon from me as well.

But first...

@Aetius: The ship is currently dead in the water, Aetius. I think an icebreaker is necessary for us to get out of here now.

Meanwhile, it seems as if the strange behavior among the passengers is caused by a bacteria of some sort. Doc has the samples. The bacteria apparently gives the infected a certain degree of supernatural strength as well as speed, and also allows them to communicate through one another through unknown means. Maybe ultrasound, telepathy, I don't know.

The infected that we took the sample from resisted doc's attempts to be sampled. Because of the special nature of the hostiles, I believe that Birch may also be infected now. I advise that he be shot on sight. In addition to that, this also means that most, if not all, the passengers in the ship would also be infected. That would mean that the smartest choice of action as of this moment is to treat every single one of them as a hostile.

I would like to note that icebreakers sent to rescue us are in danger of being attacked by the strange creatures that the passengers of this ship have become. Tell them not to get too close to us.

We will do whatever it takes to ensure that this contagion doesn't spread to their ship as well.

Sarge:

I do not believe we should shoot Birch on sight. If we manage to free him we should simply quarantine him until we are able to retake the ship and arrive at port where Corporation doctors can figure out what it is and cure it if possible.

As for my orders:

Since there is still no general consensus concerning what we should do Sarge will remain on the Bridge defending it and using the radio to call a mayday. Any ship that responds will be greeted with an explanation that we are trapped in the ice and that if they have any helicopters, to air drop (from 10 feet or as close as they can get) what supplies they can on our deck, as close to the bridge as possible.

Sargent, my team is moving up the deckto push our boarding crafts overboard. Those pesky creatures may use it to board the icebreaker and I feel that is not an option. Could other teams provide firesupport?

Alexandrov:

Charlie fireteam should stay to hold engineering while Delta fireteam moves up to infirmary, while securing and neutralizing all hostiles on their way there.

OOC: @ALL
If you don't mind, could we turn charlie fireteam and delta fireteam into team echo and team foxtrot respectively? I find it horribly confusing when we have team charlie and charlie fireteam. Would be so much easier if we just could call each team with their respective letter.
ooc: found my last orders which I think are pretty valid for this turn also. Fireteams will be renamed this turn, charlie ft -> team echo and delta ft -> team foxtrot.
