I'm in an airport. As I'm leaving one flight, I learn that my connecting flight is delayed, so my layover will be longer than expected. I'm pointed to a corridor that will lead to a nearby mall, where I can try to get a meal, do some shopping, or just pass some time. I go to a first restaurant and somehow conclude that their meal will take too much time. I go to more of a food kiosk, that I think will be quick, but while waiting, I get the feeling I really should be headed back. I do start heading back, but the way back is considerably longer than the original trip into this mall. Moreover, I'm going through different areas than were the case on the way out, including even outdoor areas. Every now and again, I'll move through a space that I remember, or vaguely remember from my outward journey, but with each of the trips through unfamiliar/wrong areas, I feel more and more like I'm not going to make it back in time. In one of the outdoor areas, my way is blocked by a fence. I know the right direction to go, and I know that I have to climb this fence, but this had been no part of my outward route. The return trip even includes largish stretches on the tarmac of the airport.
I'm a little hazy on the ending, but I think I miss my flight.
