Drinkers / Non drinkers

I usually drink white Russian. Lately however i have supressed vodka, so it is simply a white i suppose.

Drinks that "girls drink" taste better. But watch out! They tend to be lethal. Long Island Ice Teas, Margaritas, etc. Trying to think of a legitimately delicious "dude drink." White Russian, maybe?

Back in my drinking days I would not have called a White Russian a "dude drink."

Almost. A lot of milk or cream with a finger of coffee liquor and a bit of sugar. It is delicious.

Heheh! Fair enough Thor. People seem to like Starbucks, which does taste good, so I can't see any good reason to pick on you for it. ;)

Well, if it makes you feel better, it's still the same picture Tim. Just all blurry like, and for some reason if I polish off the ladies' drinks I can never find my pants. That one might actually be on me.

Barracuda Bites, baby, Barracuda Bites. You won't even think to look for your pants.

It's also easy to forget that nicotine is a strong drug. I hit substitutes pretty hard, ones I never need(ed) when stepping outside for 2-3 minutes of every 60.
I've given up quitting nicotine for now. I don't use any tobacco products so I figure it's not that bad for me. Even though just nicotine come with some health risks. Thing is, nicotine itself isn't that awesome, I just get really annoying cravings if I stop.
Only major type of alcoholic beverage I haven't tried is vodka I think
What about alcoholic ginger beer and cider (preferably dry cider)? Is that possible to not like?

Oh hot damn does that sound like a poor life decision just waiting to happen!

I thought so too! But after 10 years I felt the anti-depressent, anti-appetite, and focus-enhancing effects wear off(to be fair I need about 2 hours less sleep a night now without them). Plus, while the dopamine is easy to forget is there, I totally lost my internal body clock without the cigarettes. I timed everything by their ebb and flow and didn't even realize it. I was at about a pack a day, if you're up there, you might do that too and just not realize it. I never smoked inside though, so if I chainsmoked/chainvaped I might have missed it too.

Pint of Guinness.
Maybe don't drink so much so that you get drunk and have a hangover the next morning? Drinking doesn't always have to be you pounding back 17 beers one right after the other.

I don't drink to get drunk anymore and I haven't in a while. That's kind of boring for me, you know? I drink to enjoy the taste, to relax a bit after work, to have a nice glass of beer or wine with dinner, to just sit back in my chair and sip on some vodka or whiskey, or whatever.

Sure, if my friends are over and we keep drinking, I'll eventually get buzzed. But.. Yeah, I can't remember the last time I had a hangover.

If each time you pick up a beer you end up drunk and with a hangover the next day, maybe you have a drinking problem. Not saying that you do, but if that's the case then quitting drinking completely might very well be a good idea.
Having a hangover is very infrequent these days, but it does come much easier. I would be comatose if I drank that much. I haven't drunk to get drunk in a long time. I think my main point was that as I don't drink to get drunk and don't drink while socialising why would I keep keep it up at home? Habit was the only reason left.

The bad decision is already made when you say "I'll have one of those." From there on it's all just consequences.

Thing is, I can go through a day not remembering that nicotine exists. No problem. But come evening, I wants my precious. Going to bed without a little nicotine rush is just saaad. But really, it's a stupid drug.

I'm glad you're not as in the hole. It helped me in a lot of the ways my brain could use the help. Too bad it's terrible for you. >.<

Most medicines are also poison. It just depends on the dose.
