Ok update on tech - approve this and i will pack DDSs.

I assume the brown borders in the "new" column are only for effect, and the actual buttons have the standard grey/blue borders.

I like these. For 1B, the flaming smokestack is promising. Can you take the original picture and zoom in even more, so that only 1-2 of the smokestacks are showing? I like 5B for "something", but maybe not Desert Survival. Is there something else we can replace with that? Among the choices, I would keep 5 old for now. Perhaps by replacing other orange blob icons, then Desert Survival will be memorable because it is the only remaining icon which is a solid orange.

EDIT: i checked - i dont know, and i will replace desert rovers (found another really bad icon), will put new map soon.

Ah yes, those brownies is just background for your distinction, there are blue and white outlines

I've applied the same blue/grey border to your tech tree icons just to keep the consistent with the current ones. I find the liquid fuel one a bit boring but apart from that they look OK.

The icon_bits.zip here contains the border and an alpha mask I use to make sure the edges have no semi-transparency which looks bad in the pedia.
 
Oh good find, its all about pixels and i tried to be most accurate as it possible. This mask of border is actually thing that i was lacking. Thanks.
 
Here's a sandstorm particle effect to test. I've tried to make something that looks more like a real sandstorm - that's why it's sand coloured. Anyway, see what you think. The fScale needs to be set to about 20 in EffectInfos.

by old david's request i retexturized worm (it used sand similar texture, very even and very sand like, so lets make it more disctinct)
here are DDS files, please check if you like it (Children of dune movie texture style), and apply on worm rider too.

Nice work. I like the Take 3 texture more. Can you make the inside of the mouth match the colour of the skin?
 
sure i'll do that now, i'll leave current texture onbly will make it less satruated and less orange

Texture is different but tints are more less matched
anyways worm shouldn't have scales inside of mouth, as well exactly same color, but it looks consistent now.

SL06g - Graphic issue - Wings for Vulture thopters use atreides color for all factions (it seems) , at least for corrino they are green.
SL07g - Locust needs urgent texture change - it have Eurounion logo on its wing.
 
On the worm, I think I need to unwrap the body part of the mesh better so that the scales don't look stretched. I'll have a play with it in Blender tomorrow.

I'll also finally get around to writing up that unit art tasklist.
 
I've made a little patch including Sandstorm and Spice Blow particle effects. No more Tornado spice blow. I have also tweaked the colour of the Sandstorm a bit from the first upload.

i love the Take 3 onthe worm texture :) i think the dark line down the side is pretty cool too :) very much like the latteral line in most worms and snakes.

Re the spiceblow, i think it looks a bit too big there, maybe a slightly smaller scale would be better?

Re the sandstorm, i think that shade is too difficult to see on the desert, i liked the previous colour better.
