Earth 2010 PBEM

Guys, I believe I caused a pbem save bug, since I accidently reloaded my second turn. I think I encountered something like this in Triumvirate Uprising once so I replayed my turns and sent Nighthawk a new save. Might fix the problem.

TBH though, I'm starting to think it isn't my fault. When I began my first turn I received the results of the failed nuclear proliferation treaty and I thought eclipse was in control at the time.

sohleks I dont think its an issue with you. The turn I received loaded just fine, but it was for May 2012 with the nuclear non-proliferation, which I had already done. I think you just received the wrong turn, or maybe Eclipse hadn't gotten the latest turn yet.

We should be on June 2012 - Tigranes did you send the June 2012 save to anyone yet? I think thats the issue.

Nighthawk I would double check the second save I sent you this morning. There were a few improvements to my turns (:shifty:), besides if the second save is in the same boat of the first then we definitely know I received an earlier than anticipated date.

I'm starting to believe that was the case. I received my turn from Tigranes 3 days ago. May 2012, the results of the nuclear proliferation vote was posted at the beginning of my turns.

I sent Tigranes the June file on Sept 8th, so I guess he sent you the incorrect file.

I would prefer that Tigranes sends or re-sends the correct file and that Sohleks plays June and that we take it from there.

Ok, I think this is my mistake :wallbash: I am very sorry guys. The correct file is re-sent

I was a little worried it was going to be too tedious to enjoy this turn after the mix up but happily that turned out to be false. :) So ya, I've sent the game ahead to Nighthawk.

Green Energy Practices Suffer Regressions in Major European Powers

Environmentalism activists around the world are disappointed about the recent state of affairs in the once Earth conscious regions of Europe. Just at the end of July 2012, the UK, Germany and France have all cut down on spending in sustainable Earth practices and eliminated targeted goals on co2 emission reduction. Already, smog emerges in the city skyline in Paris. The UK will soon provide France the resources needed to provide relief. Fish and venison should soak up bad air, am I right?

Possibly related, the planned opening of the National Park of Hamburg in January 2013 has been cancelled for an indefinite period of time. The new purpose of the landscape is unknown.

Other Notable Events
- Germany returns to state property...
- Germany and France once again become real christian states!
- France finally admits it would be better if they were officially labeled Pacifists. Germany adopts Theocracy...

Was there any forest left around Hamburg anyway? :)

In June 2012 Islamabad experienced heavier than normal monsoons, destroying their external sewage system (Aquaduct) and the First National Bank of Pakistan. Pakistani leadership publicly requests assistance from their master overlord, China. You wanted a vassal... you got it!

When is the next UN proposal/ election?

Pakistani leadership publicly requests assistance from their master overlord, China. You wanted a vassal... you got it!
The formal request was received and it will be handled swiftly and effectively!

The Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China will have a meeting to make a concrete proposal for the Chinese Communist Party Secretariat, that will then hear the opinion of the Central Military Commission of the Party. If aproved, a "Pakistan monsoon Taskforce" will be defined in order to discuss the issue in the National People's Congress.

After the Taskforce is aproved, it will appoint the people that will head the "Islamabad monsoons Committee". After the proper nominations take place at the monthly ordinary meeting of the National People's Congress (if the names are approved) the committee will start searching for administrative colaborators. Off course they must all be aproved by the Central Military Commission and the State Council, with a detailed background check on all of them, in order to assure that they are good communists.

After the heads and administratives are decided, work will start. Exaustive and thorough investigations will be followed by endless debates and analysis. The end result will be that the committee will be able to submit a request of a budget approval, regarding the costs to study in details the situation in the ground. It must be aproved by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a necessary step that will allow the commiitee to start the work of analyzing in detail and actually visiting the city. The intensive work in the following months is of the most importance as it will define the recommendation of the commiitte of the work and tasks that should be done to help the people of Islamabad.

After the report of the "Islamabad monsoons Committee" is finalized then the actions proposed will be discussed with the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China. If they approve, then it will have to be discussed and aproved by the Central Leading Group for Foreign Affairs, the Central Leading Group for Combating Bribery, the External Publicity Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Central Military Commission and the National Defense Commission. After the months of discussions then actions will be implemented and China will be able to say that it did a great work helping Pakistan! :goodjob:

Off course most of the budget will be spent in wages, meals and administrative costs (paper, etc) of the heads of the Taksforce, Heads of the Committee as well as all the administrative staff. After all it will be months and months of hardwork preparing the actions! When the technical staff arrive in the actual city, probably there won't be much left to spend but... that is life!

The Wonders of bureacracy!!!
