ok, the nif was easy enough to remove the strange hat in nifshope. So I have a nonshader version of that nif in the zip. but i figured you may not want the top-knot so i quickly removed that as well thats the nohat-nobun.nif.
EDIT: whoops for hot to give him the Izzy crown. will do so in a minute
EDIT: ok a crowned version is attached. use the nonshader.dds from isabella for it.

Was just reading about the Meiji reformation not too long ago. He took a middle ages feudal society, and turned it into a 1st world industrial power that beat the . .. .. .. . out of Russia in about 50 years. Incredible really, I can't think of anything that even comes close historically. Come to think of it, I wonder why he wasn't included in default civ, he deserves to be there just as much as any other leader in the default game, in fact more so then the likes of Isabella and some others.
This thread is definitely one of my favorites to check. I remember when your first leaderhead (Jefferson Davis) came out, and now to see the kind of stuff you're regularly dishing out is nothing short of amazing.
Currently, Meiji is coming along quite well, and Ataturk is shaping up to be an incredible leaderhead that I've been waiting to see since Warlords and the Ottomans debuted. As for the others, your El Cid model is so well done that I still can't figure out whose head you used as a base, and the original way that you combine leaderparts (Napoleon III, Metternich) is always a pleasure to see. I'm still impressed with your recent attempt to remesh male clothing onto female leaders (Aminah and Wu).
At the same time, I'd love to see some updates to your older material, especially in light of the new Colonization resources available. I know that you're quite busy, but please consider the possibilities. For instance, have you considered combining your goatee-less Col Bolivar head (from the Venezuela civ thread) with Col San Martin's uniform? As good as your current Napoleon uniform retexture is, I think that the new Firaxis one without the Alexander laurels might be a better fit.
Similarly, while your Ben Gurion has been the best modern Israeli leader for quite some time, it occurs to me that perhaps Col Adams' head might be a better and more distinct match than the Mao/Churchill one currently used.
Michael the Brave might benefit from Frontenec's cuirass, and Henry of Portugal might appreciate an outfit based on somebody like Vanderdonck to replace his untextured Willem base.
If you're ever in the mood, I actually have quite a few specific ideas (including how to possibly mix and match the new native leaderheads) along with sketches, but for the time being, I will continue to enjoy checking in to see what your imagination develops for the modding community. Thanks for all your time and effort on our behalf.

Which is why I gave Meiji the most tech-whore AI code I could come-up with in my mod... no more isolationist Japanese leaders who always fall behind... play with Meiji and he'll always be looking for more techs!

yeah thats his younger, gazi, days. I used the one from wikipedia. I'm not totally happy with it. I may post it as a version 1. I think the head is too narrow but it may be due to using Peter's animations. I tried reshaping it without results. I'll see if I can fix it before the weekend. If not I'll post it as is for now.

I like it as it is, personally if/when I use it I will change the background though. I'd like a modern Turkish flag back there because he is known as the father of modern Turkey.
