Elder Scrolls V: Oblivion Part 2?

Well, I'd probably buy it immediately for the Collector's Edition. Bethesda do some really nice CE boxed sets.

I guess if you don't have a life or don't have anything better to do, you can flip to Spike TV or stream E3 live from GameTrailers to check out a purported 5-minute gameplay trailer for Skyrim.

EDIT: I should add that it's supposed to come on at 11:00 AM, PST.

EDIT2: But let's not forget how the E3 Oblivion demo looked, nothing like the end result we bought. (I never watched E3 before, but I spotted this video of the demo on youtube)

So, let's not get our hopes too high, lol.

EDIT3: And that's that.

Yay E3! Let's sum up Microsoft at E3:

- You can now play this old milked-to-the-core franchise with kinect!
- You can now play this other old milked-to-the-core franchise with kinect!
- You can now play this next milked-to-the-core franchise with kinect!
- You can now play that too with kinect!
- ...
- Kinect!

I couldn't watch that video with the annoying scrolling unrelated text at the bottom.

Trying to find a better source.

I agree. It's really distracting. A better hi-res source might be at the gametrailers website (I haven't looked yet, but they were the official live streamers).

And I'm bummed that the 30 minute long demo on Wed. is going to be a private affair. But at least we'll see what the bloggers/journalists have to say after they've seen it. I think the article that came out in PSM not too long ago was describing the same exact demo we just saw at E3.

I watched this and the Mass Effect 3 trailers (thanks PrinceScamp).

I'm pretty sure both games could run on my computer, but not at the settings that make them look that awesome.

Maybe it's time to accept that my computer has finally gone beyond the call of duty with its 4 years of honorable services. It was the bomb back in 2007. It still runs every new game that comes out... Just, with these very new ones, it's the first time I'll probably have to turn down the settings.

I was kind of hoping to have this computer until the next generation of consoles were going to come out, so as to be up to par with them... but it's taking forever.

I don't get it. Unlimited dragons?! Weren't you supposed to get "unique" abilities from killing them? How can that go along with "unlimited" dragons?

The unique abilities probably aren't unlimited and once you have them all you won't get more, but there will still be dragons. So probably quite well. They probably won't spawn so often that you'll get all of the abilities quickly either.

I'm not totally sure what the dragon souls are going to be for. Maybe as power for the dragon shouts? But there are only 20 or so "dragon words" that your character can learn. And these are used in 1 to 3 word combinations for each shout, IIRC.

A shout can be "charged" by holding down the R3 (or its equivalent) button. And there are three levels of a shout that can be charged, each level is one more word and more power.

Gods, I'm praying they make Dunmer and Orcs cool looking... they were too light blue/green and awkward for my taste.

Dragons; the new (only slightly less tedious) Oblivion Gates

Exactly what I thought... That's why I'm not to keen on "unlimited" dragons idea. I mean no matter how cool they are, fighting them will get old and I think rather fast. I'm seeing myself avoiding them in the future once I get enough of them (or get all 20 or so shouts, if that's the idea), like I did oblivion gates...
