Should have known it would be Skyrim, I heard that Bethesda trademarked it years ago.
Maybe they could have shown gameplay, but if it's like the other games, something will go wrong and it will crash for some unknown reason.Yay, doesn't look like it'll be Oblivion Part 2... Yay for cheesy useless trailers with no gameplay video. It's not like they have nothing to show, it's coming out in less than a year.
I wonder if there will still be Khajits and Argonians? Skyrim is a less friendly environment for them...
Spoiler :The big asteroid that hovered above Vivec city (in Morrowind) fell and hit the island when Vivec (the character) was taken/left. So the island that we played on in Elder Scrolls 3 (Vvardenfell) was completely destroyed in an event referred to as "landfall."
So with all that going on, the Argonians in Morrowind that existed as an enslaved race, rose up and cast out the Dunmer. Dunmer refugees fled to Solstheim (the island from the expansion pack Bloodmoon) and maybe to Skyrim as well, I'm not sure.
But that all took place in the first few decades after Oblivion, and ES:V takes place a couple of centuries later. So the races will definitely be more interesting as far as in-game politics and relationships w/ other races go.
My biggest concern is that it will be far too much snow+mountains. But I've heard that it will be similar to Finland or Scandinavia. And the weather and landscape there are fairly diverse, IIRC.
As long as it's not all like Solstheim or Bruma, I'll be happy.
Spoiler :How could such a small rock damage all of Vvardenfell? If it wrecked the city of Vivec that could make sense, but not the entire island. It wasn't even that high up.
