Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

Hello, I'm just reading about this mod and let me say that this is some really amazing work, thank you very much for making a great game even better! :-)

I just have one question, is there some way to make notes in game or mark pins/labels in the map with your mod?

Yap that's it, thank you!

I was just wandering if as EUI has so much quality of life improvements to the game, if this could be one of them, or if I have to install an additional mod for that.

I am getting a Tree icon showing up in all the forest tiles.
What icons are shown on the map can be extensively customized :

There seems to be a bug with the latest version. A vignette is present on the sides of the screen which is a bit annoying.

EUI Beta
Sticking HEX route destination mouse icon.
In beta, if I direct worker to create a route with road/rail, the mouse icon changes to a small hexagon. That hexagon does not go away after clicking a destination. I have to click on UI that does not pass through to map, i.e. bottom left corner of screen, in order to get rid of it. Otherwise it will keep changing the workers final destination as I click on other units/cities. Anyone else notice this?

@TK,
I have seen the same crash point after the
"LeaderHeadRoot: blank discussion nil nil 12 false true 4 nil" entry in Lua log. Started back up fine though. This was hours into a game and a "goodbye" to leader statement on being friends with a civ they are friends with.

Hi, I love this mod and used to use it until for some reason it stopped working 2-ish years ago (action panel doesn't show up) and for the longest time I just made do without it until I stopped playing Civ 5.

Just recently I started picking it back up again and decided to get to the bottom of the issue and figure out what's wrong.

So I tried the game in normal mode (no mods except EUI) and found that it worked perfectly; thus I determined that there was a mod conflict somewhere.

Then I tried turning off all the mods that affect UI (didn't work), and then all the mods that affected gameplay (like upgradeable buildings or new religions) (which also didn't work)

And so I was left with the most drastic option of turning off all my mods and turning them back on in batches until I could zero-in on the mods causing the conflict.

And lo and behold, the least expected mod to cause a conflict: an addon civilization leader mod.

The following is the mod causing the conflict:

Super Civs - Catwoman

I have not tried any of the other civilization leader mods by this author. They may or may not cause conflicts as well, but this is a heads up to anyone else who might have this issue.

Edit: Took another look at the mod page. It turns out I'm not the only one, as the comments also mentioned the issue (comment dated after I subscribed to the mod) and is apparently due to the mod overwriting UnitPanel.lua in order to get the unique effects to work.

His other mods that conflict with EUI are Elektra and Zatanna

I had similar issues with a couple of the Colonies Civ Leader mods when I first started using EUI. I did not try them all though. I will have to see if it is changing the same panel or not.

And here's my question regarding the mod: I don't suppose there's a way to remove the orange "Add an additional blah blah blah..." tooltip text when selecting what to build in the city screen. It just adds to the confusion since it's all the same on every item.
I'm fine with editing files or scripts, just need to know what and where.

Actually, I've been trying to figure out how to disable this as well, plus some yellow text on another tooltip (can't remember which atm but it's also on the city view screen) that's similarly identical on every instance of that item's tooltip. I was beginning to search through all the posts in this thread trying to find more details about how to modify less obvious aspects of EUI, like these two things, but haven't gotten far yet.

Another question: once an improvement/unit has been queued for building, is there a way to just buy it outright without having to remove it from the queue and then buy it once it's listed with all the other potential improvements again? Something I like about the stock UI is being able to toggle between "Purchase" and "Build" modes. I like that EUI has condensed the size of the improvements list, so you can see more on the screen at the same time, but putting a button on each one for buying it really adds a lot of busyness to the interface that I would prefer not to have, since most of time during the game I'm not going to be purchasing improvements/units. Perhaps there's a way to hybridize your approach with the stock one and keep the size change but allow the option to turn the purchase buttons on and off?

Your mod is great, and all the work is appreciated - particularly that you continue to update it. I'm just trying to figure out how to adapt it to what works best for me.

includes a new InfoAddict module to provide detailed history graphs and replay map in-game when accessing "demographics" (works with existing game saves, does not touch future game saves, unlike Robb's InfoAddict mod). This is a departure from EUI's philosophy to remain within the information bounds of what the base UI provides. Unlike the end game graphs and replay map, you can only see information concerning civilizations you have met and map plots you have seen, but that's still loads of extra info compared to the base game. So if you do not want this extra info, simply delete this folder.
Thank you for your great work, bc1! But can you add a switch for selecting standard Demo / InfoAddict to your mod? It looks like better way then add or delete folder and restart the game.

is there any fix for the yield icons going missing in certain areas after reloading a save? reloading the save doesnt work, yield icons on/off dont work, going to other side of the map via minimap doesnt work, its pretty annoying

The new beta version may be causing repeated CTD's for me, but I can't be certain. I haven't been playing C5 all that long, but I played one pretty long game through and had no problems. Most of the way through that game was when I installed the 1.29beta29 version and had no issues with it. I'm now on a new game, and the only thing that's changed is upgrading to the 1.29beta30. I can't say correlation is causation here, obviously, but I would like to roll back to b29 and see what happens. Is there a place I can re-download the previous beta? I can't find a link for it on here anywhere.

I don't use any other mods. I have the full version of C5 with all the DLC and expansions, on Windows (10). It seems to bug out after it goes to the post-turn processing, that's about the only consistency I've seen to the crashes.

yes it's a nuisance, but it's an issue with the base game that I don't know how to fix.

I don't keep old versions, but beta30 = beta29 + a few fixes and instance manager + InfoAddict module, so if you delete the InfoAddict folder, which can use up lots of memory, you've basically got beta29.
If you want more help you need to provide your logs (refer to instructions for details).

Great, thanks for the tip! I will remove InfoAddict, since I'm not using it, and see what effect that has. If it persists I'll post the logs.

Hello everyone, I apologize to you if someone posted the same issue before i didn't read all of the 149 pages and i apologize too for my post if I do some mistakes i'm french but i didn't find a french forum to help me with the EUI.
I downloaded the EUI today to have a more comfortable gameplay but i have a little problem that embarass me.
There are the resssources icons like fish, iron, horses ... who are in the EUI in addition with those which are in the game when i press Lctrl plus R to show the strategic spots of the ressources but the icons of the EUI are very little when I full zoom out in contrary of the basic icons of the game and i prefer to have the ressources of game instead of the ressources of the EUI.
I tried to search a way to delete it or change it the the line's code but I don't find a solution.
So is it possible to delete the ressources icons of The EUI to just have the basics ressources icons or to change it to be like the basics ressources icons ?
I join a photo in the diplomatic tutorial for example. There is to illustrate the icon of the fish of EUI which is very small when I full zoom out instead of the basic icon who is very big and at the left side of the hexagon and i prefer to have the basic icon of the game.
And if you ask the question i already remove the basics ressources icons with Lctrl plus R but i don't want the EUI icons in this way so i asking if is it possible to change the setting of the EUI icons to be like the basics icons or delete it to just have the basics icons ? Or maybe just have the same big size of the EUI icons like tha basics icons when I full zoom out ?
