Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

Cannot annex cities with the latest update!

Great mod, by the way, thanks for your work.

More details: the problem appears with puppeted cities. The annex button is here, but clicking it produces no result.
Only happens when in the city screen. Via the pop-up from clicking the puppet icon, it works.

Same also. I had this issue with 1.24a and 1.24b. How do you access the pop-up from clicking the puppet icon? I've been having to disable the mod completely to annex a city.

Just installed the latest version, now I cant select tiles in city management.

These bugs should be fixed in 1.24c (now available)

Cheers

I don't know if this has been asked before, but when using this, mod civs that use dummy buildings listed as their uniques, like say, Prussia's military buildings with specialists or the modified National Wonders for Taiwan, all of those show up on the select screen, and I get why that is, but is there a way to disable that? In addition while in the vanilla game tooltips show up when hovering over those, that doesn't happen in mod civs either, and I am unsure of the reason for that.

With 1.24c, the barbarians icon when processing their turn is replaced with the generic unmet civ icon:

The new version compact with DLL v 65?
Or i should delete 2 yield files in v65 too ?
don't know, don't use DDL v65: try and see what works...

civ v without EUI = no select screen tooltips
civ v with EUI + mods which override EUI script = no tooltip
==> no EUI, no candy

yo forgot to cache them barbs - easy fix for future release

Does this mod also includes fixes on too small tooltips? I like to play with more then 12 civs, but as soon as going over 16 there is an interface problem with world congress votings - the voting results aren't displayed completely then, they tooltip simply gets truncated at some point. Or is enlarging tooltips just not possible?

not even aware of this issue - try EUI and if problem is also

I finally found time to test this with EUI - the issue is present with the mod as well. I have made two screenshots and the save after the vote from a game with 22 civs; both tooltip and notification log are inable to display more then 16 voters like in unmodded Civ5:

Just extracted v1.24c today, but I was wondering if it was normal that you can't see the tooltip when hovering over terrain (like to check if there's plains/grassland underneath).

Civ5 DX10/11 1.0.3.276 win7x64 windowed steam
Own all major expansions and most minor dlc. No other mods installed.

Image of when I first load a game that I started after installing the mod. After a couple seconds, the tool tip disappears and nothing is shown when hovering over terrain.

Edit: Well, seems like tool tip was set to 1.5s so I just had to hover longer

With the latest release (1.24c) the maintenance cost disappeared from tooltip when hovering over a building item in the city view screen. See the attachment screenshot.

Confirmed. Next update? :)

Whenever I use this, after I settle a city, the name above the city doesn't show up. The task thing on the right will say "choose production" but clicking that does nothing, and I'm not even able to get past turn 0. How can I prevent that from happening or how can I fix that?

Hey, thanks for fixing that crashing bug tied to the units panel. Did not have time to test it until I already saw that it was confirmed fixed by others.

If you check Marbozir's Ireland playthrough (part 10/11), there is a bug with the popups sticking around too long. I've had this same problem too, I think this bug started appearing with 1.24b for me. This seems to be related to popups from the building menu mainly from my experience.

I have the same problem (i started with 1.24 and it could have already been there).
I always assumed that is due to me using a very slow netbook.
It is really annoying to get rid of. mostly it is enough to enter the city screen again and slowly go over the finished building list and the build queue to trigger the removing of the popup again. But sometimes the still sticking popup was from some other part of the game. and if I cannot find it again, i cannot trigger the removal.

If you cannot find the bug: a workaround would be if leaving the city screen removes all popups from the mouse curser.

Thank you for a fantastic mod that should have been part of the game from the first place! :)

The tooltip you are referring to is generated by the DLL, and there are no plans to fix this via Lua in EUI

yes, there is a minor typo fixed for next update

are you using mods ? there may be mod conflicts... If not using other mods I would need lua.log and a game save

what popups are you referring to ? could you give the time in Ireland playthrough part 10/11 at which the problem occurs ?

are you referring to the mouse over tooltips ? EUI's city screen code is pipelined for processing when the game core is not busy, to prevent crashes on very weak PCs. I would need more explanations to understand exactly what the design's drawbacks are before I can perhaps do something about it

Cheers

yes I refer to the mouse over tooltips. they often get stuck at the mouse curser (might be due to my weak netbook). e.g. hovering over the map not only the map tooltip pops up, but also any former still stuck tooltip. To get rid of stuck tooltips I have to slowly try to invoke the original tooltip (the one that got stuck) again and try to trigger the tooltip removel code. Maybe it is possible to remove any old tooltip when triggering a new one? ..

thanks for the details
attached is a replacement file for you to try out: please note I do not have time for a few days to check if it works at all... but it should

sorry, doesn't work.
in city view he didn't load the complete tool tip for finished building (some placeholder graphic)
and after some mouse movement the mouse over on the production queue only said: "Production" and on right side it always just showed the mouse over tooltip of progress of the Great Scientist, I think. ..

(using linux, renamed the file to lowercase before replacing the old one, emptyed the game cache before restart)

last update (Cityview) does not work at all, no tooltip whatsoever inside city screen after replacing attached file.

:mischief:that's because you need the whole package (attached), the new Cityview version is no longer compatible with the previous package
Edit: the attached beta file had a bug which is fixed in the official version. Those who downloaded need to download again...
Cheers
