From the desk of the CFM (Chief Foreign Minister):
* I somehow missed the founding of Judaism last turn! Hard to say for sure who it was, but it had to be either Saggion the Wise One (Saladin) or else King Kong (Gandhi). SWO seems more likely to me – not only did they gain 10 points last turn, but we know for a fact that they have the prerequisite for Monotheism (polytheism – which gave them Hinduism). If anyone sees good reason to disagree with this conclusion, please speak up!
* The more interesting question, is why would SaggionTWO want to get another religion? As I see it, they are either in a big hurry to have organized religion for the +25% building bonus or else they are looking to religion monger to get extra leverage on the 2 civs without a religion… but if that's true, that seems like a pretty bad plan to me.
The most likely scenario that I can come up with is the SWO met another team (maybe King Kong?), and they are trading for the lower level techs while SWO picks up Monotheism to get the 25% building bonus for both teams.
Anyone have a theory they'd like to posit?
* Thanks for the breakdown on the Soldier score Peter. I'd read that once in the past, but it was a good refresher. Bottom line, our soldier/power score doesn’t mean a whole lot – but will become more meaningful as the game goes on. At least our enemies don't have any more to go on than we do!
