We will await the situation for now, we are far from Norway and waging a war there wont be easy, Erik is no fool.
We should transport more of our army to Sweeden, and recruit some more Royal Knights would be nice too.
We also need to improve our economy.

Erik Savag the Mighty had a crusade called against him...But that didn't matter...What mattered was the fact that a high spirit was amungst the Norwegian soldiers...Even more so now that the new order of the Kriger has started.
Erik was not surprised at the poops speech and his all of a crusade..While studdying under his uncle Ragnar he had learned that this day may come...Ragnar had prepaired scrolls of infinite knowledge against these happenings.
Erik Savag the Mighty was quoted one day saying "Let the poop send out his dogs against me for he is not man enough to come face me himself...Like a real man...And like dogs they shall be slain".Then when Erik heard Finland was staying neutral he was also quoted saying "Wow!I thought all catholics were retards!" and sent a message saying the following to Finland

William had been raised a Scot. He had lived a Scottish way of life, living in small villages and tribes. Over the years, as foriegn powers incursed into Scottish land, William learned to fight. He was well renowned to his fellow countrymen and feared by his opponents as a fierce warrior with a burning hate for any foriegner in Scottish soviergnty. Which makes it all the more ironic in how his life has ended up.....
The Scottish continued to fight the expansion from various other tribes and powers into thier land. The where greatly outnumbered but fought with heart and valor. But one day, in a battle in a dense thicket, William was felled by an arrow. While his companions retreated to safe ground, William lay writhing on the thicket ground. Only out of sheer respect of his fighting skills did the Northumberland General allow him to be taken prisoner.
While in prison, a real one in Northern Northumberland, William met the likes of a condemned priest. His name was Priest Holmson, and had been comdemned for publicly questioning the Pope, and any questoning of the grand one himself was a high crime in Northumberland. While in the dungeon with Holmson, William quickly became educated. He was also converted to Catholicism, but through many talks with Holmson, who had developed a new advancement to Catholicism, he too believed in the newly theorized Protestantism.
Impressing many in the dungeon hierarchy of control, William was released. They were sure he wasnt a throubred Scot anymore. But William demanded Holmson be released too, and he was.
Settling in around the town of Newcastle, William was immediatley popular and won title of "mayor". At this time, William is still only 26. Then things went even faster.
When the King of Northumberland died, it was sudden and no hier was available. The Royal Family, instead of trying to compromise on someone or make a regency, bickered amongst themselves and tryed to grab the throne. What ensued was nothing short of civil war. Over 200 factions, many being cities, emerged and claim title to the throne. Not wanting to be taken by the aggressive Sunderland faction nearby, William lead the Newcastle faction to battle. He organized the best army of any faction, and tested his strong archers against anyone in his path.
Quickly he conquered the Sunderland Faction, and teaming up with Liverpool, managed to take York and press downwards. Uniting with Liverpool, the Newcastle faction was unstoppable. After bearing down on the Royal Family's keep for 3 months, they finally gave up and surrendered the throne to William. From Scottish Warrior, to Northumberland's Throne, William was now the King.

The conflicts of the world were no matter to the Germainic people. However the massive armies arrayed outside the borders was cause for concern. Cedric of Wessex's body still hangs from the gates of London , after his execution his body was treated with Tar and hanged on display to show what would happen to the ones that refuse to enbrace the word of Jesus.
But that was the only good news for the Frankish people , Guntram attacked Northumberland just before a new Leader took over putting us in an very ankward position and norway recovered far quicker than expected from the civil war and was about to invade our undefended homeland , Queen Marie had barely manage to keep the counrty from a civil war.
the future looked grim for the frankish people , but with the help of god we will prevail!

I have a requst for your grace , since many christian coutries seem to refuse your call of crusade could you please tell all your priets to hold sermons telling the people of these coutry to travel to france and enlist in the France Foreing Legion and fight to defend their faith? (complete volunteer army , people may choose to return home after/if the crusade is won)

It is our hope that you will not join it, for then how do we know that you will not one day turn on us, for we are not catholic either? We are allies, and we would like to stay that way, but it might prove hard if you join this war started for no other reason then religious disagreements. I am sure that the Pope has no power here, and we can all be friends no matter what religion we follow.
