Europe 670 A.D.

The kingdom of Finland once again begins to expand. They improve on their old royal knights design, and recruit 1000 new Finnish knights. With these they gain much new territory in all directions. The Finnish people are among the happiest in the world.

Russia remains silent. Not even the Pope is sure what happened to it's royal family.

War in Eastern Europe! Taking advantage of the new knight units, King Casimir of Poland invades Hungary to relieve pressure from the Germano-Frankish front. The invasion force consists of 1000 knights, 2500 footmen, and 500 archers. The Magyrs were too busy expanding to the East to counter the invasion, hence the Poles gain much land but the Magyrs suffer no losses. The young new Pope is too scaret to intervene, but raises the swiss guard for the first time since it was created.

The Byzantines also heavily expand, even at the cost of others. They expand in most all directions, and even make a colony in Egypt where the christian populace welcomes them. Only in Slavic lands do they meet a lot of resistance. The Bulgars even take away a piece of their border.

The Muslims are surprised at the sudden Byzantine presence, but can be comforted by the fact that they already own the best lands in Egypt along the fertile Nile. The economy is increased and the Christians show no signs of favorism towards the new neighbors. Some pockets around Alexandria even convert to Islam.

The Franks cede much of their possesions to the tiny merchant kingdom of Wallonia which begins to truly flourish. They also expand towards Andorra which is slowly expanding in their direction as well. Nothing happens with the Germans along the Rhine. Wallonia is doing well, but is causing a little trouble with the local Berbers.

The Icelanders increse their fleet and expand their Scandanavian possesions. They also sign an alliance with their Norwegian brethen who are doing quite well themselves.

The Norwegians are sort of entering a little golden age of their own. They built longships similar to their Icelandish cousins, and without losing an economy level, gain 1000 knights from an excited young populace. The Kreigers, becoming more and more important add 500 to their number as well. The newly huge army expands towards the Finnish colonies. The only bad news was the death of Amon Savag II, who gave way for his son Ragnar Savag II to ascend to the throne. It seems as if nothing could go wrong for the once again mighty nation, except for the incredibly fragile economy which has managed to survive only due to a miracle.

Germany expands in most all directions. To the South they encounter the tiny long-lost nation of Austria which seems to have survived but in a terribly weakened state.

With a new ruler...Ragnar Savag II the Great...Norway would be turned into a fully mobilised machine of war...With scrolls and books sent down from Generation to Generation studied...Night after night by Ragnar...He trained by day and read by night...He was a machine really.

The male populace...happy that Ragnar had come into power and now assembled in front of the palace begging to be drafted holding their weapons in the air they shouted for Ragnar to draft them.He answered this call by drafting them accordingly

The huge masses of troops were formed outside of Oslo and a huge training and drilling session began in which Ragnar employed many a capable officer to help out with this.With Capable officers and a huge army and the great morale to go along with it...Only inevitable beating for those who opposed him was forseen.

The drilling of the soldiers lasted for half a year...Now the officers and Soldiers had gotten time to get to know eachother...The army was now a familly...A well trained very large familly...From all parts of Norway had these men came...And here outside of Olso they became a well unified familly who worked together without a problem.

The Kreigers also had been drilling as usual...Them elite bastards couldn't get much better though...They were so good they should be illegalThey learned how to work well with the rest of the army though...Without full cooperation of the army the army's useless.

Great. Northumberland, the Visigoths, Andorra, and Estonia are available. Tripoli is as well but I'd rather you don't take them. I'd recommend Andorra.
