Evidence FOR Creationism

Simple Marla. What makes you think the Kangourous and Koalas lived in Austriala 4500 years ago, at the time of the Flood?

Everybody knows all the animal species were living together in peace and harmony in Eden garden. So Noah simply had to go there, and take one male and female of each here.

We know for sure where Kangourous and Koalas were after the Flood. But Noah could very well have gone there AFTER the flood to depose them... Hmm... Doesn't work, the Arch crashed on Mt Ararat before that... Perhaps they used life boats?

Or, that Kangaroos used to have wings, but didn't need them any more, so they evolved...do'h!

This is like picking on ******** kids.

How can you still trust scientists after what you just said? Creationism IS NOT a religion only thing any more than the ToE, in fact we could just as easily refer to creationism as ToC or the theory of creationism, sure as christians we can believe it as part of our religion, but just because it can be excepted by our religion does not make it any less or more scientific than ToE

1. What i said is not true for all scientists.
2. To believe a god created the world i have to believe in the god at first. Since creation is a concept inherit in the big religions i can't believe in it without beliving the rest of it.
3. While there are maybe some scientists who make some stuff up, i don't have to turn to other guys, who make up much more (imo all they say) out of pure air.
4. The creation has no scientific value. Scientific value means there are proofs, some hints, something to base theories on etc. The bible is no proof, and all the things Sword of Geddon posted were would-be-proofs against evolution. And a proof against one thing is in no way a proof for the other thing (except if we would live in a binary world, which i don't think)

Hey! That's MY Noah-shattering question! ;)

Plus Noah shoud have had a really really hard time digging up all the tiny animals that are not visible with a naked eye. Or notice that they've boarded the ark.
And where did he put crab-louses ? (or morpions ?)

Wouldn't the greatest concentration of life be found in Mesopotamia? Woundn't all forms of life be found in Mesopotamia?

Conisdering most of it is a desert, it probably had about the lowest concentrations of life in the world.

The Ark landed in Mesopotamia (Mt. Ararat is in Southern Turkey, part of Mesopotamia).

Ah...you're saying Mesopotamia SHOULD have the highest concentration of life, but doesn't. I get it now.

Why didn't Noah unload in Southern California or the French Riviera?

Magic also explains how Noah built an Ark of physically impossible dimensions, and how water covered the entire earth when there isn't that much water on the earth to begin with.
Oh, but Umberto Eco has a much simplier explanation. Have you read "The island of the day before" (I'm not sure of the English title). There's a monk in a ship, somewhere in the Pacific. His theory is that God was standing near the line of date change in the Pacific, and took water on the right (the day before), and put it on the left (the current day). This way, he could take as much water has he needed. After 40 days, he simply put it back.

It's si simple :wallbash: why can't you see, o you poor heretics ?

oh yeah, so god can send water through time now, and please i prefer the term atheist.

Just because i don't believe your fairy tale or believe in your god, doesn,t mean you can call me a heretic or that I am a lesser person.

And if you lack a good sense of humour and cannot see irony, how should I call you?

An arab ? Immigrating in the US ? ;)

Wouldn't he be Jewish? If he was, maybe he indeed did settle in SoCal. His descendants now run Hollywood.

Pun intended.

Actually, I've heard an interesting theory about the flood. It's a result of global warming. Let me explain this :

We have found traces of civilization under the Sea of Marmara in Turkey. If that's the case, it's because untill recently (around 8000/5000 BC), the Black sea was a locked sea. When the level of waters has increased, the Mediterranean sea has filled the Black sea (who was originally at a lower level)... creating a massive flood. The only survivors were those who had the time to refugee themselves in mountains.

As such, the story of the flood is actually derived from this story which has evolved during centuries... I think it would be cool if that was true. :)
Of course, that doesn't mean I really believe it, but still. ;)

That was used as the explanation for the flood in the book "The Seventy Greatest Mysteries of the Ancient World."

Marla: that black sea flood thing doesn't hold up the sedimentary analysis of the sea floor - the water ran the other way! I posted the paper ina thread in history forum about 4 month ago IIRC, 'Noah sunk' was the title I think.

I'll go looking for it now.
