excuses racists use (particularly with dating)

I don't specifically prefer white women. Although women of color that I've dated (or at the very least, have asked out) tend to be much less racist, hence why I'm not particularly complaining about them.

I am merely pointing out that we all have criteria for who we date. You want to label people racists who exclusively date within their race (or say that). Sometimes that is true, sometimes it is not.

Yes indeed, I only presume they're racist if their criteria they explicitly lay out is actually racist, otherwise I don't care.

again: they could just say "just don't find you attractive" or a simple "no", "sorry not interested" or better yet no reply whatsoever.

It's that they specifically say a racist thing and I'm supposed to believe they aren't for saying so. Again, I'm surprised you of all the posters here would be defending that.

One interesting thing is to compare what you see above with what those same users have told us about their racial attitudes. Answers to match questions have been getting significantly less biased over time[...]

And yet the underlying behavior has stayed the same.

I'm not defending racism or being so inarticulate to use a presumably racist brush-off. I just think sometimes it is the latter without being the former. By going to online dating sites, your are sometimes fishing where there is a bigger shallow end of the pool than when trying other methods.

although why would that matter?

I just wondered where does "white" start in the USA.

IMO many Southern Europeans are not any whiter than you.

As a sidenote - I suggest one transformation of your image:

Edit:

I responded before you edited and added more. I see that the transformation took place.

Would simply a lzybbyprtyn8gurl actually say something racist though? Or more along the lines of "srry notintu" or better yet nothing at all?

I'm just saying that something that comes across as racist may just be something that was intended as a brushoff. And that presumes that dating within your own race is racist rather than preference, a presumption that seems a bit shakey.

Why use an intentionally racist brushoff if you could use something else or better yet nothing at all by simply not replying?

And you seriously think refusing to date any other race other than your own is not racist?

edit: All we're doing now is going in circles so I don't see the point of continuing with you, you keep saying the same things over and over (although to be fair, I somewhat have as well). It all comes down to whether you think refusing to date other races is actually racist in and of itself or not. I think it is, you think it isn't.

I am saying the inarticulate do not always make the most optimal reply.

As do dating within one race, I see it as possibly a preference just like everything else in relationship chemistry. For some people, it could be racism, for other it could be mere preference.

Oh jeez, I guess it's easier in a mono-racial country like this.

BTW, you wrote you are half-Persian, is the other half Jewish?

I noticed a necklace with the Star of David in one of your photos.

My Persian side has Jewish blood (Persian Jews), my white side is protestant.

Interesting combination.

Persian Jews are like a more ancient culture than Persians themselves, and than European Jews.

We don't have a more ancient culture than Persians themselves, there weren't any Persian Jews before Cyrus took Babylon.

edit: "Jewish" isn't a race either.

Just because I find a black girl desirable to date does not obligate her to find me a desirable dating partner for any reason. If I happen to find her other black friends desirable, her straight guy friends desirable, her gay guy friends desirable, Asian friends desirable, and her senior citizen friends desirable, her 18 year old friends desirable, her married friends desirable, or her single friends desirable, that too obligates absolutely nobody to find me a desirable dating partner, for any reason or no reason.

The Persian empire started with Cyrus and Jews themselves certainly predate the Persian empire, yes. Although if we're specifically talking about *persian* jews rather than just jews, that's a different case. :p
