Expensive tea made from Panda droppings

There's a huge, HUGE difference between unintentionally consuming PPM-levels of fecal matter due to poor sanitation and intentionally consuming the excrement of another animal. (I am assuming, based on what I remember from hours ago, that the tea is made by taking the excrement that still has tons of undigested stuff in it, and making a brew out of that.)

:vomit:

Yuck, I had just assumed that they fertilised the tea leaves with the droppings and then made a brew with the leaves(washed, but still fertilised, like vegetables).

If the poop is actually in the brew, that's just disgusting.

Just put the lid on the toilet down before flushing :p.

I do this sometimes. Sometimes, because I like to leave the toilet seat up. For some reason, my sister always moans and groans about it. :dunno:

I only started putting it down after I was looking at it thinking 'What is this even for? No-one ever puts it down and ... *ding* Oh.... right.'

The link mentions some coffee that is made from beans that have gone through an Indonesian cat's digestive tract, if that is what you are referring to.

Civet coffee. I've had some of that and it wasn't bad. Actually I so close to ordinary coffee it's not worth the money, in my opinion.

I wouldnt want to taste any of this panda bamboo-poo-tea.

smuggle a panda over.

From a business perspective I think he should try the cheapest solution first. Take a dog or some other random animal, name it Panda and suddenly you have a lot of feces from Panda(if not panda).

You know how many people eat fungi? Mushrooms and all, great in stew? Good.

You know how some people eat creepy-crawlies? Grasshoppers, cockroaches, caterpillars even? Good.

What about combining them both? Fungi and caterpillars? Ophiocordyceps sinensis is a type of fungus which grows inside a species of caterpillar. It germinates within it, kills and mummifies it, starts growing out, and you get this:

Just like panda poo tea, this is from China (well, technically it's Tibet, but I'm going to gloss over the geopolitical iffies here). Herbal medicine. And it's also bloody expensive.

My grandfather did say the Chinese find use for everything. Primarily on the issue of food - you could find just about anything to eat. (Given the massive population, it makes sense you can't be picky about food )

Sounds like he was right on the money!

I imagine we're not far away.

But we already eat/inhale feces on a daily basis anyway. It gets on your tooth brush whenever you flush the toilet, for instance - you'd be amazed how far away those particles travel!
That's why I put both seats down before I flush.
