I've heard two rumours:

2) The police have shot a suspected bomber outside Canary Wharf.

Can you deny the latter?

Well, I certainly can't confirm it. Haven't heard any shots, or seen any suitable commotion going on. Then again, it could have happened when I was in the loo....

I can't blame Provolution for anything he says right now -- he witnessed one of the explosions, for God's sake. After the second tower collapsed on 9/11, I said I hoped the whole Middle East would get nuked to a sheet of glass -- in front of a dozen people at work, half of whom were Muslim, though not Middle Eastern. I didn't mean it, not even then, but I was boiling with so much emotion that it had to come out somewhere. It was either say something vicious, scream, or punch a wall.

I don't know Provolution's posting history to know if these sorts of comments are typical of him, but if they're not, he should be given the benefit of the doubt for a day or two, IMO.

Well, in the original English, he wasn't saying dead - I guess there's been a mistranslation into Spanish.

In Madrid at first they talked of a couple of dead, only hours later they were talking of 100, the following day it was 200 dead and more than a thousand wounded.

No one can know for sure at this early stage.

Indeed - I completely agree. It is almost impossible not to speculate, however.

3) The use of suicide bombers. There is more and more of a realisation and body of evidence coming forward that certainly the bus bombers were suicide operatives.

I'm not in 1 Canada Square, just the building next to it. And as we only transferred here last week, I've no idea about basements. Rather be here than Fleet Street as I was before, as that meant going through Liverpool Street and getting a 26 bus.
