Fall Further 050 Bug Report Thread

If it helps, it's patch J.
And is there no other way than to delete entire civs in the WB? Also, is there any way I could get some meaningfull error data out of the game?

If it is patch J, download the .dll that is on page 42 and give it a try. I do not think there is anything else you can do.

The grouped Unique Features you mean? ... Think this is one to pass on to our resident Mapamatician, Jean Elcard...

I suppose your screen shot is from the Erebus map script as well, Vehem?

Erebus is the only map script I know of, which fiddles with the location of unique fatures. Most of them tend to prefer the same terrain, so clusters of them are very likely under some circumstances, especially, if you chose to want all of them.

FlavourMod ensures a certain distance between unique features. If that's not possible, it drops them. I suppose the same is true for the code in the dll, which xienwolf mentioned. For now I would advise to use the Flavour Start option to prevent clustering on the Erebus map script. It should overwrite everything the map script itself is doing with the unique features.

Fixing the script is going onto my todo list.

Tried it, not working, thanks for the sugjestion thou.
Also, I have tried fiddling with the WB but can not locate the problem. There are just so many units out there.

Just tried to load it with the old patch (decided it was worth a reinstall to try and track it down), but it failed to open the save at the last minute (could just see the map fading in) - message of "Cannot find DBGHelp.dll". Tis a new one on me, going to poke at it some more.

EDIT: Main screen popped up and then Civ instantly shut down without a message on that attempt. Do you have a slightly earlier save? Couple of turns before?

I have about 10 saves in that turn and about as much for each turn. Here is the zip, maybe you can get one of them to work. I had to trim the number down becouse of the forum rulles thou.
I realy apretiate the help.

Why is this NOT a cultural victory for the Dural?

They have three cities with Legendary Culture, and yes, I always select the Cultural Victory as possible in my games.

The good news is I went back 20 turns to an auto save, played and made it to what I thought should be the Cultural Victory.

What's wrong?

Thanks.

No idea on that one. You've definitely met the conditions and even giving Basium (permanent ally) 3 Legendary cities of his own doesn't seem to trigger it.

I don't play the Balseraphs often, but when I do I love the ability of Loki to flip cities. The AI enjoys building as close as it can to your borders and I take great pleasure in using Loki to remove the encroachers.

However, I've run into a problem with two civs, Kuriotate and Scion. I've never seen this before, but I'm not sure it is a bug.

I moved Loki to a Kuriotate settlement and a Scion city, both just settled, and Loki was unable to flip either.

Are Kuriotate settlements and Scion cities immune to Loki's cultural flipping?

Thank you.

I've been able to gain Cultural Victories in the past with Basium as my permanent ally. I thought you only had to have the three cities with legendary culture in your city.

I think I had a Cultural Victory in a game with patch k.

Problem with the Dural maybe?

Sorry if this had been brought up before...I did do a search for 'HN unit' and 'Hidden' but didn't find anyone posting about this...

I have the 3 stooges. Am going to war with my Daracaat who is on the other side of Sabathiel...decided to take a Stooge with me since I haven't bothered to build any seige engines yet.

Since we're going to be crossing all the way across Bannor territory, and I don't want to be bothered, I used the 'declare nationality' spell on the Stooge.

First thing I noticed: I have a stack going over there (Bambur, 1 adept, 2 stonewardens, 8 melee units and 8 archers) but when doing an alt c to select the stack and move them together, the Stooge did not get selected with the stack. I had to move him seperately...tried a couple more times to get him to add to the stack. Can't be done...as if he still had the HN promotion going. Yes, I double checked, it's gone.

Second thing: while moving thru Bannor territory, the Stooge was attacked by a Balseraph Freak. I am not at war with Perp right now, and in fact never have been in this game. Again, looks like the HN promotion wasn't removed. ( I didn't in fact see the Freak, so its possible that he was Feral and had the HN promotion himself, but then the message wouldn't have been 'you have killed a balseraph freak; right?

Third thing: The turn after the Freak attack, I decided to test this out a little further and tried to move the half health Stooge into the Bannor city he was next to. He died trying to attack it.

So...even though I declared nationality with him, it looks like the Hidden Nationality promo never got removed.

I'm assuming this is a bug...but no one else seems to have reported on this unless I missed it. ( oh yeah, this is a Fall Flat game...so not sure whether this is an FFlat or an FF issue...or even a ffh issues).

Edit: Just went in and decided to remake the Stooge, duplicated all this promotions with the WB on a new Hill Giant. Who started off with the HN promo sigh. Declared. He still tries to attack a friendly city.

For some reason, my upload is gone. Re uploading save files, hope someone can make something of them.

Scions under the emperor get a free +2 culture building. As for the Kurio was it settlements or real cities?

I didn't know that about the Scion, so the answer is that they ARE immune to Loki's shenanigans.

Yes, they were settlements. When I see a city with a pop of 3 or more, I just don't bother assuming they have built a Monument or have culture. However, there were several times I sent Loki right after Cardith plopped down a Settler creating a settlement.

It appears you cannot flip settlements with Loki. Maybe that is intended?

I'm a little unclear what Pax Diabolis is supposed to do. I thought it put you at peace with Agares/Demons.

1. I am continuously attacked by nasty Iras that the Avatar of Wrath is churning out. They are clearly Agares units.

2. I am getting 10 unhappy faces for my guys being afraid of nearby units. What units? I am at peace with Agares. Why would they be afraid?

3. Whenever a demon unit approaches my borders, I get the same message you would if any enemy unit approached.

What am I missing with this ritual?

Thank you.

You have to do more than just build it.

Building the ritual, just gives you accewss to a spell. Which can be cast by any unit standing in that city.

Casting that spell, is what brings peace with agares. And it willl also destroy the city. You have to sacrifice a city to agares in exchange for peace.

A minor annoyance.

It seems Arctic Circle didn't put comments on a lot of his stuff. Many Jotnar entries in unitinfos, promotioninfos, buildinginfos, and unitclassinfos are missing the comments that make them easier to find with ctrl+f

Aieeeee, dopey me, I built it in my capital city. That's what I get for reading the civilopedia (not much there) and trying to wing it on my own. :crazyeye:

OK thanks for that, looks like I have to keep dealing with these Iras. The demons/savages have wiped out everyone except for me and my 3 cities and the Sheaim and their one city. Actually, except for the Iras, it isn't too bad. The Four Horsemen, still around, have gone into hibernation somewhere and the Avatar is fixed in one spot continuously summoning Iras.
