I reinstalled Fall Further. I played with it a little some time ago. It looks more than fine to me. I like the extras and it seems stable. One thing I didn't realize is that your alignment can change in this mod and there's more factors around it. I think it would be interesting to start as one of the neutral leaders/civs and part of the goal being to achieve a good or evil alignment based on how you want the game to go. Who knows...you might be able to fudge with some of the alignment factors even more.
The Austrin civ is interesting to me. The whole early exploration phase is probably one of the more interesting aspects of FFH for me and is in line with the whole rpg thing. This civ is all about the exploring, but does have some meat later for war and stuff. Quite a few uniques as well although the Austrin hero is kind of marginal. Diedre has the extra trait that allows additional trait changes throughout the game.
I'm fine with whatever though.
