New Bills pass through Parliament

- Athenian Parliament

The government's Immigration Bill was verified in the Athenian Parliament. An other Bill that passed through the country's Parliament was a new taxation package that increased taxation of rich citizens by 10%.

President Antonis Kanakis said: "Those who make a lot of money have the responsibility to pay more money than the ones who make a modest living. This increase in taxes will only apply to the most rich of the citizens and will not affect much their lifestyle."

Finally, the Athenian Parliament verified the "Development of Roads" Project: This new law will allow the government to use 25% of the money gained from the new taxes to construct or repair already existing roads all over the country. Some of the roads are old while some villages do not have modern roads at all.

The government is expecting that in two years all of the country will have modern roads, thus making traveling far easier. President Antonis Kanakis said: "This project will increase trade and shall boost the economy while making the lives of the people easier."

It is to be noted that the Orthodox Rally voted in favor of the "Development of Roads" Project, the only government measure that they have supported so far.

Treaty of Athens

  1. The Republic of Athens and the Platonic Republic agree to mutually help each other with military means in case Alexandria's Empire declares war on either of us.
  2. The Defensive Pact will be enacted only against the Alexandria's Empire and not against a third party.
  3. The war must come as a result of Alexandria's aggression for the other party to keep it's obligations. If either the Republic of Athens or the Platonic Republic are the ones that force Alexandria's Empire to declare war through threats or bad diplomacy, the other party has the right to remain neutral.

- Signed,

President of the Republic of Athens, Antonis Kanakis
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Athens, Alexandros Karaiskakis

The government prepares a new bill which shall reform the immigration laws and shall make immigration to Athens and registration for Athenian citizenship easier. The new law shall allow everyone who wants to migrate to the Athenian Republic to do so, the only exception being people suspected of criminal acts or of being radicals.

What do you mean by that? Are they being punished by their ideologies? If so, then change it. I know it passed but you can propose to change that amendment from being radical to being a know terrorist or something like that and then vote for it. You mustn't punish people because of their ideologies. And also, even if you reject my proposal, i propose an alliance with you.

By radicals, we mean Neo-Nazis, Stalinist Communists, Islamists and Anarchicals. Those are elements considered radical as they constitute a threat to our democracy.

But aren't they people as well? Why are you discriminating against them? If the people want communists, then let them be represented. You mustn't disallow radicals from coming to your country as their people as well.

First, we would like to note that we do not ban Communism, but rather it's Stalinist version.
Second, no. We do not need fascists, Jihadists or far leftists.
Third, I am going to ignore further posts about changing my policy on that issue in order to avoid spamming.

Ok then.

I propose an alliance to you. Republics must unite

We are not interested in an alliance right now, although we would be willing to sign a Non-Aggression Pact as well as organize common cultural and athletic events.

Far leftists = Stalinist/Maoist Communists
Communists that believe in democracy are okay.

Wait... that would be hindering our claimants this moment! What is the purpose of attempting to cause aggression against the Platonic Republic?

Respect the blue claimants that is our claims this turn!

Green is what we have planned but our great issue is your disrespect with the blue.

Respect our blue claims!

As you write this letter, you hear a voice in the air that is eerily similar to the scarce reports of how the leader of Wallachia speaks. It is smooth, as if you aren't really hearing it and it is only a dream, but it is also deep and commanding.

"Take your aggression elsewhere. Our lack of respect? You have the whole of the Anatolian peninsula to expand into at your leisure, yet you try and grab land further into Europe as you Turks always do. Leave, leave behind your ambitions of Europe. Leave and never again come back you dirty Turks. Leave, and we have no quarrel with you.

Continue with your aggression, and you shall meet the fate of every other Turk that has ever faced me."

The Platonic Republic in response to what is a ill attempt to a buffer state and in response to a insanity is to set forth envoys.

One envoy is to Wallachia to bring forth reason for we are not going to give up the blue claims. They proclaim aggression against our peaceful expansion and so must see reason less they prove themselves as savage as both the Americans and Chinese who bought the world down with nuclear war.

The second envoy is to Athens to request a stance agaisnt what is clearly a power hungry for war just like Alexandria and henceforth needs to be countered as such.

The third envoy is to Queen Alexandria; though remarked for her potential aggression the rudeness and lack of manners of Wallachia shows the importance of not making too many enemies. We will hence offer Alexandria a defense pact or barring that a pact of non-aggression.

Both Athens and Alexandria will both we warned of the perils of not striving for peace. The Platonic Republic will not reward the aggressive bullying tactics of Wallachia whose leader has shown to be of kakistocracy and hence will serve as a example of the justice of the Platonic caste system. We will not give up our buffer zones that we design to protect our western and northern sides so that we can expand to the east without fear. We cannot afford to give in to ill demands and will hence have the Protective Caste ensure that our northern claim is not overruled by an warmongering force. Justice will be defended from injustice.

To Wallachia we note: our land is our land. Wallachia should focus on expanding its border smoothly instead of making a ugly gain that could be seen as a effort to attack Yamek. If you respect our claims and not threaten to attack us over our rightful northern claim that we deployed before you then you may disprove that theory.

OOC: sorry but what method did the voice emerge from?
