The Malevolence

Spoiler :
MZy7b7B.png

Villages near the southern top of South America used to carry on their meager existence until robots began to emerge from the jungles. Whenever the robots reached the settlements, they attacked and destroyed the people. The robots spread across a small region, cleansing the area of all living things - jungle, mutant animals, people. When the robots came across the settlement of Big Gulp, established in an explicable rad-free zone, that settlement sent a group of its finest scouts to find the source of the evil and destroy it.

They never returned. Since the destruction of Big Gulp, mere months ago, humans are fleeing from the southern tip of South America. Fleeing, they say, from a tower of evil, fleeing from their death.

Spoiler :
Light: Protectron The Protection is a slow metal man armed with a single laser "eye". Despite being made of metal, the Protectron is largely unarmored and it is incapable of tactics beyond "March at the enemy and fire". The Protection is capable of lifting heavy items and, critically, has two hands so it could be used for construction or reprogrammed to execute different tactics. Protectrons serve as the brute numbers of The Malevolence - but are typically passed over as soon as serious combat begins.
Medium: Robo-Scorpion The Robo-Scorpion is a fast metal scorpion with a powerful LAER mounted in the tail and two metal snapping claws. Robo-Scorpions are well armored, EMP-resistant, capable of repairing themselves and constructing additional instances, and capable of advanced tactics such as seeking cover. A common Robo-Scorpion tactic is to charge a target and tear it to shreds, then blast its allies to ash. Robo-Scorpions are the mainline unit of The Malevolence - if you don't see a Robo-Scorpion, then The Malevolence doesn't have a presence worth mentioning.
Heavy: Giant Robo-Scorpion The Giant Robo-Scorpion is a myth, they say. Realistically speaking, the Giant Robo-Scorpion is a mobile army smasher. Physically, the Giant Robo-Scorpion is around ten times the size of the Robo-Scorpion. Unlike Robo-Scorpions, Giant Robo-Scorpions do not seek close range combat - instead, they blast their targets with their atomic tail laser which combines incineration with irradiation and explosion to form a deadly combination. If forced into melee, the Giant Robo-Scorpion is perfectly capable of crushing anything while bullets, lasers, and even rockets strike its armored hide. Giant Robo-Scorpions are deployed only rarely due to their incredible expense and their tendency to serve as mobile electronic support for the other robot forces of The Malevolence.

Government: Absolute Monarchy.

Species: Droids.
Military: Heavy Troops.

The military of Xanada (Droid name for Canada), is based on few but well trained soldiers, called the ''Imperia Guard''. They are the prefect soldiers.

@Chris: the Fallout Universe have their own robots. No need to barrow from other universes, especially since a post nuclear world has some... limitations on resources.

This is one grand example! :D

SNIP

OOC: The Sentry bot is more for urban pacification. The Protectron is a better bipedal robot form.

But you could argue that if you take off all the armour you would get something that looks like a droid. A very slow easy to kill droid, but then 2 combat is 2 combat.

I'm going to Edit my Military section to better show the light/medium/heavy divide. I'll use the format from the first page.

Finally I'm posting a better map, although two nations are still missing from America as they haven't posted a map, just a "around here" label.

IOTers are not very war-minded. Maybe they'll bake cake, drink tea, and discuss their favorite books every month.

Anyone who wishes to visit the Brightlands will be served by Robot Butlers while enjoying glowing tea. Any damage done by the radiation to their sanity would totally not be the fault of the Undying.

Leader: Huey-Tlatoani Eztli I

Government: Theocratic monarchy

Languages: Nahuatl (Official), Spanish (De facto)

Religion: Worship of Huitzilopochtli and Santa Muerte. Catholicism still exists, but is becoming rare.

History- To come

Spoiler Military :

Tlaltopilli (Militia)- The basic militia of the Mexican Empire. Consists of older villagers and even Raiders who were given guns and told to defend whatever settlement they happened to be in on pain of death.
Regulars- The bread and butter of the Mexican Army. All Mexican children are trained from age eight to sixteen in military combat and fighting skills, before finally given a gun at age 17 and join the army. Thanks to Emperor Eztli's education programs, they are indoctrinated heavily in the cult of Huitzilopochtli and are ready to give their lives to the Gods. Note that Mexican military doctrine does not focus heavily on killing the opponent; rather, it is based on taking large numbers of captives to sacrifice and intimidating their opponent into submission. To this end, many Mexican soldiers often wear gaskmasks painted with skulls and other symbols of death.
Eagle Warriors (Special Forces): The special forces of the Empire, Eagle Warriors are taken out of the most intelligent children in training and are specialists at infiltration and stealth. They are most often used in "behind-the-lines" operations and reconnaissance.
Jaguar Warriors (Elites): The elite of the Mexican army. They are taken from the strongest children, and are trained in shock tactics, often charging the enemy with obsidian bayonets and tanks scavenged from the pre-war Mexican Army.

Government: Confederal Republic
Leader: Red Crow Jackson
Capital: Shining Rock

History: The Peoples of the Confederacy were greatly changed by the War, most becoming Ghost Shirts. Unlike other Ghost Shirts of the Plains, few of the Confederate Peoples did not grow insane, likely due to the communal nature of the Confederate society. Those who did not go through change are given special status within communities, as the Ghost Shirts are unable to birth children. The Unchanged are traded between communities to those that need them, and some merchants ferry them from outside nations.

Spoiler :

Light: An Irondog is a unit of one to three cyberdogs and a Holyman, a Confederate mechanic. Holymen are often glowing ones or the formerly insane who have become rehabilitated. Cyberdogs act as guards for the Holymen, who serve as medics, recovering and patching any fallen robots.
Medium: An Ironhorse is a type of security robot that moves at a brisk pace and is equipped with dual gatling lasers. They often travel in groups of three and usually storm ahead through enemy lines.
Heavy: An Ironbuffalo is a robot similar in dimensions to a behemoth. It is usually equipped with dual miniguns and a mini-nuke cannon, and is covered with armor similar to that of a tank.

Hmm, low luck, possibility to become insane, "those who did not go through the change", and inability to reproduce, lead me to believe that the Ghost Shirts = Ghouls, and the Ghost Shirts are what they call them selves, nice touch :D

also the game will start sometime this week, maybe Tomorrow if not probably Tuesday or Wednesday, i still have a lot of nations to add to both the spreadsheet and the Directory of the Wasteland, which includes me making the three units for each nation :P, so hopefully ill be able to get that done tomorrow or Tuesday :D.

Finaly Sone any color you would like to be for Indiana?

Im also assuming that Dixie would like nothing other than the finest of Confederate Grey :p

Lot of people to do diplomacy with... lot of people to attempt to convert to the Dzonoçian faith! :D

Speaking of diplomacy is there a range for how far away we can contact nations?

Communication would be difficult in a post apocalyptic setting.

Good consideration.

Hence I will (if possible) try to set parties of missionaries across the plains to try to spread the word up in the north and the south so that the teachings of the prophets will be spread.

Expect a party to be knocking on your house doors and asking you on "have you heard of the Ethos?" :D

Im going to assume that everyone has intercontinental radio signals that they use to communicate, heck im going to take the role of Three Dog (or another persona, so i can do my own DJ style and stuff for RP then trying to imitate Three Dog, still thinking on it) from Galaxy News Radio (or Equivalent) maybe switch off to different radio stations now and then, he he he I kinda like that plan actually, any way that is how Im going to do the Updates :D
