Fallout: The Rebirth of Civilization

Well finally (4 or 5 dl later) I managed to dl the mod (without the music) with a downloadmanager.

I started as Vaultcity and had to find out that there is some serious financial deficit at the beginning... It took quite a while till I got contatct to anyone else (unity, later New Reno)...
But all in all a good game

Samez, yup, and you need to overcome that debt by killing barbs till you can expand. Money is hard to come by in the tradeless wastelands. ;) :D

HINT: Rediscovery of Trade is a REAL important small wonder. ;)

Initially i really couldn't think of any city names for most civs. So i had a look in the editor and saw what cool city names you wrote, so i had a few ideas.

As for that last part. :mischief:
2. Yup, Vault 15 was the one you rescued from the raiders and gave to the civvies. As for the unit it is Flamescreen's excellent unit.
Ack, darn typo. I meant to say "Why does the Unity have Vault 15 ?"
3. My tribals are warrior tribals, the male members of your tribals look , well, nice and meek with the ole ball and chain tagging along. Good slave material. ;) :D But yes you did a good job on them.
But mine can also increase happiness. :mischief:

No, it is a small wonder. IIRC I only have one great wonder so far, Cathedral of the Apocalypse.:)

I tried to download the mod at least 12 times over the past 3 days both at home on 1024k DSL and at work on Buisness DSL and it crashed every time. I got the free version of DAP 8.1 from speedbit.com and it DL'd first shot for both the main and sound files. So, I would definatly recomend a download manager if your having trouble getting this mod.

I haven't had a chance to play it yet, just boot it and look through the screens and stuff. Looks very nice Thorgrimm! (although I see you didn't use my Icons:lol: )

What ? You're joking. Look in the civilopedia at Great Wonders, IIRC there were 4-5 of them.

Heretic, you are correct, I just looked in the editor and there are three great wonders. Some had been changed, the civilopedia txt file is not up to date. :D

@Zonik2090, can you elaborate just a bit more on what exactly is your problem? Is it not being found in the selections box? Or is it an error?

Well basically, I unzipped it to the C drive, it was in the scenarios folder and stuff, but when I loaded the game up there was nothing different at all.
I clicked on "load scenario" to browse for it, found the folder, but the game thing wasnt there to load from.
Clicking on the "new game" link, showed nothing had changed either.

Hope that helped out a bit more.
 
Hmmm I restarted as BOS cause my Vaultcity game went so slow after the spread of the Deathclaws so it was unplayable...
Some strange thing happend during this game:
Ghouls and New Reno never expanded the whole game, The Enclave has just 3 cities (platform, Navarro, Washington) and no units wihtout workers (evend effending cities with workers what is really strange)
Vaulters, Robots and Unity each have about 9 towns.
NCR needed nearly the whole game to expand but now they have about 15 cities or so...(best unit militia)
In generall no nation managed to rech the second age ( I am now entering third one) and has no chance to expand cause the deathclaws troubles them too hard.
I tried to whype out the dclaws but didn't manage to do so till now (killed about 300 for now but still a lot of 25er stacks are still on the map esp in the far east...)
Next thing I gona do is to take he land abses of Enclave cause my troops are near ...Perhaps I will restart the game and take a look if the ai will be a bit more clever next time...

BTW:
Tannery has no civpedia.. (it was prodoction boost for 25%?)
And for my next game I made hummer buildable for BOS (tech is still "law of the road" but till now they were just autoproduced be the wonder)
For Balancing I would give the raiderscout an att of 2, to make it at least eaqual to the dogs...
 
Folks, sorry about that. My net connection went kablooie yesterday, and just now got it back on.

@Samez, I have seen games where the Enclave are fighting with the Bots they are so big. It all depends on how fast the AI loses the priceless unbuildable good units they start with.
The game is 1000 turns long, so no need to push fast.
The best unit for Claw killing is the Combat Armor Sniper, invisible so the claws do not hit back. On raging, the barb camps get three waves of units that is why so many. Here is a trick to get rid of a LOT of claws. Take a settler and plant it within sighting distance of the claw stack, make sure you have little or no money, and plant a city. bang the claws will zap that city till they are all gone. And at size one the city will still be there and you won't lose jack squat from your tresury. Then abandon the city. Rinse and repeat. Now that is the cheaters way, real Wasteland warriors do it the hard way, by killing them.:lol:

While I was off the net I did MAJOR, and that is an understatement, BIQ work. So expect a new BIQ shortly. After watching four games in debug mode, the AI is FINALLY doing what I wanted from the beginning.
All it took was a major redoing of the map, Flamand remember the Wastelands terrian I sent you? Well they are in.:D
And upping the number of militia units in the cites and redoing the maintenance costs big time.

Replaced Aaglo's Manbot with the Fallout Sentry Bot, added the highwayman, added the Eyebot, and added Mr Handy as the advanced worker.

Also, with the Wastelands finally in, there is a BIG need for the Enviro Armor MG. For you see, only they can work and get rid of the wastelands when the proper tech is researched. They can now do the worker jobs that the regular workers cannot in the wastelands. They are now what you would call Combat Engineers.

@Storm Grunt, I got your tech Icons in and they are great. :)

@Zonik2090, the mod requires Conquests to play. Sorry about that dude.



Keep trying to reclaim the wastelands you all!
