FarowNES02

From Ramain
To Ilion, T’lur Pa, Tereno

Help us defeat the League. If something is not done then they will force us all to follow their ways and their faith.

We understand the plight of Ramain, as well as, the fears of Radano, Verigos, and Ladon. We wait upon the Bhatoists to speak to us before we speak to thee.

Everyone love NPCs :D An interesting update if I may say so, in the main cradle that is.

Forgot to say this: Nice update Farow!

Darn, that makes my river boats not very useful anymore, since I've already explored all the way upriver DX

Very nice update!

Will you send delegates to the Curia? Further ties between our nations can only bring greater benefits...

From: Terra Trifluentia
To: Tribes of the River Animas

Your lifeblood has always lain in trade. Now, trade has been shattered by the anarchy brought by Taruq. But Terra Trifluentia, and all who follow Veneratio Atavorum, have not been shattered, but, indeed, have become stronger then ever. Join us, and trade will be restored; join us, and you will be favored by your ancestors and the One Great Ancestor of us all; join us, and we will grow stronger and more prosperous as part of one great nation, the Nation of Mankind. What say you?

OOC: Obviously, that above diplo will get different responses from different tribes, but I hope to get a fair amount of them to agree, making my life much easier.

jalapeno dude, I have been meaning to ask you. Do you want Fraternias to be a cultural or religious center?

River Animas Tribes You get two respones:

We are a proud people going through troubled times. Our nation will once again rise out of the ashes.

We will join to bring order and peace once again to our lands.

Religious center, please!

Can you give me a rough idea of the locations of the tribes that gave each response (did the ones near me accept, or the ones far away, or only the ones on the north bank, or...)?

From: Fizcat
To: Bhatoist League

We wish to discuss terms of surrender. This war you have brought to us was never one intended by us, and we are not that blinded by the destruction of our fair capital that we seek revenge by any and all means. We respect your military superiority, and offer a conditional surrender.

However, let it be clear that you tell lies when you say we have persecuted your religion. Yes, we do indeed forbid people to spread the practice of Bhatoism in Fizcat. But this is not against your religion exclusively. Our belief is one opposed against the worship of divine entities and spirits. The only reason this opposition was directed at you foremost is because you strove the most to force your beliefs on us. (OOC: in every instance where I posed restrictions on religious freedom in my orders, the word "Bhatoism" or "Bhatoist" was intentionally avoided.)

Furthermore, we have allowed all god-worshippers in Fizcat to choose exile instead of death penalty. We have also issued warning about impending crackdowns against followers of god-worshipping religions persistenty sending missions. (OOC: I don't know if this ever kicked in. Farow, can you answer this?) Where you could have chosen to spare your followers, you have sentenced them to death, as you were warned in advance. You could have chosen peace, but you chose not.

Now, we ask you again to leave our land, together with your opressive religion. We will bow to your mighty army, but we will never bow to your gods.

"I heard the Duke was considering surrender!"

A sailor wearing a worn shirt and a leather vestraisedhis voice in the tavern - a bit too much.

"That's a lie!" cried the local officer.

"What nonsense!" huffed the old barmaid, and waived her towel.

"Have another ale, partner! I reckon that will make you tell even better jokes!"

"No, it's true what he speaks! I heard it at the docks that Fizcastle was taken, and that refugees were all fleeing north, to Rubian." the local tramp eagerly protested in favor of the sailor. The smith's apprentice known for skipping work in order to scamper about with said tramp also spoke up.

"It's true! We even heard that the monks of the sanctuary are recruiting more men to become Purple Cloaks!"

"Yeah, we're leaving to enl- *MMPH!*" He was cut short by the apprentice, who tugged him out of the tavern hall with a lot of commotion and muffled curses. The blacksmith sat in the corner with his mug and only furrowed his brows. He had already lost his son to the army, and had only received a brief letter in return, telling of his faithful duty and grievous yet glorious death. He turned away abruptly as he felt them stare at him, which caused those staring to face down with shamed looks.

The silence was broken by the same sailor.

"I reckon it's surrender or death..."

Now, he had gone too far. Half a dozen stood up and cried out, the entire hall stirring with commotion. A mug was thrown at him, but went wide and smashed in the wall behind his seat at the bar. Some of the more burly and drunk of the local farmers walked briskly towards him with knit fists. It was all boiling up to a barfight, when a sharp but weary vioce pierced the din.

"Enough, the man is right!"

A moment of utter silence followed, punctured by a nameless, collective query.

"But, mayor...?"

"What we face is no ordinary enemy - it is the joined might of the largest religion of the world! We cannot fight them, and we will not - if we wish to survive."

"But these god-worshippers have invaded us, and defiled our land!"

"Then we will cleanse it of their prescence after they have left."

"What of the dead? Our dead? Will their sacrifice be justly avenged?" Noone looked at the smith, but everone tried to see his reaction. He, however, did not move - staring into the fireplace.

"The dead are dead - no longer of our world. Have I not taught you to learn how to live in this world before worrying about death and that which follows it? Besides, revering the dead can lead to worship of the dead..."

"Do you suppose, then, that we will not be forced to worship gods and spirits if we surrender?"

"No. We will surrender, but not our beliefs, not our principles."

"How can you say this? If we lay down our spears, they will only kill us until only the weak and scared are left! Without strong leaders opposing the god-worshippers, the people will succumb to our enemies' will!"

"So you too prefer swift and certain death to the tiniest sliver of hope? Alas, I understand your sentiment, but I have lived half a century more than you and learned this: there is no hope, nor peace, nor solace in death - however glorious it might be."

"Well, I think you've only proved your frailty and lack of bravery."

"I challenge the long and weary path, just as I've done all my life. 'Duty is heavier than a mountain, death is light as a feather'."

With this proverb, the venerable mayor left the tavern. He was headed to the tiny schoolhouse erected just beside the town hall to teach the children how to meditate properly to rid themselves of the influence of gods. While he hobbled on with his staff, he told himself that one day, they would too be free of the influence of god-worshippers.

hmm, Bio-sphere Question. Standard Earth Animals? of can I Bring in Civian, Flar-ke, and Flar-ta?

They are earth animals but if you want to make your own you can but please PM me first so I can approve them.

Edit: All stats done and front page updated. Nice Story Silver Steak!

Not to nitpick, but according to item three of my military orders, I intended to retain supremacy over Kalnos and Valnos, merely allowing their leaders to continue leading as nobles within Ilion.

Kalnos and Valnos and leave their current rulers intact, agreeing to let them maintain domestic rule provided that they submit to our rule.

Other than that, great update! Wonderful job! Sorry, Major, no hard feelings ;)

Yay, updated nation descriptions!

Can you add Patria to the list of my cities? Thanks.

Well you can annex them next update. They are dependent on you anyway for survival. Sorry for that minor mistake.

Np, jalapeno dude only that Patria is already on your city list.

You forgot Vallhalla to my city Lists Also.

and I'll send a discription of the three when I send orders. I need to expand south befor I discover them and use them if I Do.
Short version:
Flar-ta: Large, 6 leged Triceratops, Minus the hownse, and about 3/4 the size. Docile, herd creature. Onivouris, but mainly eats plants.
Flar-ka: the Flar-ta's Nasty, older cousin. slightly bigget then Flar-ta's, they are a little less picky about what the eat and will attack at a drop of a hat. Not Domesticatible, and frankly, you see one, you should probly one, becuase they Travle in herds, and to take down a herd would require a small army.
Civian: Large, Nasty tempered Flightless Birds. mostly eats meat, but can eat plants in lean times.

(hmm, Arrggh. Farow, What happened to my Infistructure, Infentry, ships, and Hawks? the only one I really care about is the Ships. but the rest would be nice.)

I did not do your purchases they will all be added.

On the animals I would prefer if there were not dinosaur like creatures because I want this world to remain close to earth in terms of animals. It makes it easier for me.

The Civian actually is fine with since we have large flightless birds on earth. Now if you have anymore ideas feel free to shoot them out.
