FB Arguments, who's right? Should I have bothered?

When you unfriend someone they will notice if they search for you & find you not having "friend status". Or if you block them they won't be able to see your profile or anything you've posted at all.

Or they could have a plug-in that tells them when someone unfriends them right away.

Ich habe meine Gesundheit, danke. Es ist nicht notwendig, dass du dich daruber sorgen.

Spoiler :
I have my health, thank you. There is no need for you to worry about it.

I've had a couple people unfriend me. It's usually based on me having some rational opinion which they take emotionally.

I've been unfriended by a few people, mostly Christians for my anti Christian and Islam rants I used to post to facebook.

My right-wing friend invited me to oppose the gas tax. I felt like telling him I think they should tax the living hell out of gas so its $8 a gallon like Germany but better just to ignore it. I pretty much ignore when people 'invite' me to like stuff unless I actually like it (most of the time its something I've never even heard of before the invite).

What if I invited you to like my interests on facebook? They include:

Civ IV
Maplestory
Dungeons and Dragons online
Guild Wars
I love music
Scott Joplin
Chopin
Motart
Liszt
Alicia Keys
Norah Jones
Adele
The Beautiful South
Jeremy Soule
Little Britain
Peter Kay
Ant and Dec

And maybe more music acts.

Oh, and if I find it ... a page about wanting to nuke the world from orbit and destroying all humans... My tastes are rather conflicted.

Well isn't them noticing a good thing? Surely at least then they know that you're sick of reading all their inane ramblings or seeing their links to "Which Vegetable Are You" quizzes. If you just silently block their feed and never saying anything then you're giving tacit approval to their nonsense :p It doesn't mean "I'm not your friend" though, just because FB want to call it that, it just means "I don't really have any interest in seeing the stuff you post on this particular website".

It wouldn't be polite to tell everyone I'm friends with that I don't care for their postings all the time. If I really am curious about someone I can check their wall & give an occasional like to support good behavior. :)
