I've been working on an article for a local history forum on the experiences of Liverpool under attack from the Luftwaffe. Not sure if I'll post it here though because its geared more for a local audience. To the people of the city 4,000 dead and major buildings demolished seems like a catastrophe, but to the wider world it is less important.

I'd say why not? It's always interesting to read about localized history too.

We have a good amount of discussion threads, polls and quizzes. Now it's time to come up with full-length articles on historical topics. To encourage such articles, I'm putting up a stickied 'contents page', so that your article and author's name (or the link to it at least) will be at the top of the forum forever (or until CFC closes shop ).

Some rules to observe : -

1) No plagarism; pls write it up yourself. You don't want to get into copyright troubles.
2) Must be reasonably lengthy; if possible pls tag some interesting pictures, maps etc as well (got this idea fr 'somewhere' ).
3) Bibliography is suggested, but not necessary.
4) Usual forum rules applied.
5) More as and when I think of them.

Just post your article as a new thread, and I'll add it to the list. Pls feel free to PM me, in case I seem to have missed it.

Those who want to add old articles to the list, pls PM me with link.

I don't really see a need... History is not that busy a forum, and in recent years, poster-written articles are few and far in between.
