Feedback and working thread for the Articles Listing project

I have created a social group for history lovers on CFC. Linky is in my sig. It can serve as a more chattier, spammier, socializing addendum to the subforum.

Pls join if interested. :)

Guys, if you happen to click on any history article thread(s), pls help me to tag it with 'history article'. Thanks!

PS - I've tagged on those on pg 1.

XIII, I wrote an essay in French a while back for my A-levels, and I'm in the process of translating it.

However, I'd like to ask a question/favour.

I know the rules about foreign language psots, but I would very much like to post the essay seperately in English and in French, seeing as the original was in French, and I think that my translation might change certain emphases on things and such, and is more geared towards Francophones.
The translation is extremely similar, but I think that Frenchies here might appreciate it in French more than in English.

Do I have your permission to continue? I would be willing to have the essays checked by an independent French-speaking party if you're worried :)

Sure. The rule on non-English posting has always been an English translation shld be provided, so I don't see any problem with it. ;)

I would love if someone could write an essay dealing with the ten years or so the led up to Japan's entry into WW2

I have some free time, so I thought I'd write some more brief articles for CFF. Tell me which of the following subjects you would most like to hear about:

∙ Debunking the myth and submyths of the "Dark Ages"
∙ A biography and assessment of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor
∙ An explanation of the idealism/realism debate between Plato and Aristotle
∙ Commentary on presocratic Greek philosophy
∙ Any question pertaining to Thomist philosophy or Catholic theology
