fine then, have it your way- a new srticle detailing the Inca :), and an article detailing the history of the Vandal kingdom of the dark ages, and it fall to Byzantium....

lemme see what I can come up with ;)... my newst bookdetailing world empires int he classical era has a bit to say about them- but I'll needmore then just that for a nice read...

XIII, i have some articles you can add namely my aztec and maya article and my slave article

Nope, won't be added - think they're a bit short, and wander a bit.

You shld try at writing on specific topics, and spice up your work with lots more unique facts. ;)

Note - I've delisted your Crusades article too for same reason.

Can you give a rough estimate for the minimum length of an article? I've got one sitting on my HD, but I won't post it if it's not long enough.

well, more articles for the pot :D the Russ, early Vandals, and, while not an article by me, one that I found interesting, and though tthat it deserved a place at CFC... now that there is room for another crusade article i *might* post one on the late crusades... odnt getme wrong though, my current interests in these subjects is far less then that of Rome... but I dont wanna posty nay more on them, all i could do is culteral stuff, and I like the spicy action the milatary based histories have to offer ;)- and in that light I mayu be posting one more in depth on specific stages of late Roman-Byzantine develompment, but as always, dont hold to my article words, these are just musings at the moment, not promises... the low veiwing rate of my articles has somewhat...dissatisfied me with writing them as of late...

About the length of what you'd expect to read in a magazine. ;) I don't really have any set rules on this - we make it up as we go along... :)

Seems there's a large crop of articles over the weekend. :) I'd listed them all - post here if I'd missed anyone's. ;)

We're up to 77 articles listed. :D

In addition, for articles admittedly not written by self, I'll simply list the title but not the poster in the List. ;)

Congratulations, XIII, to your project, it really gives the history forum a lift! I like reading the articles, its much better than constant WWII discussions.

I don't want to name someone specifically, but I think it's not OK, if some of the writers of articles just copy and paste their stuff from some website, and don't even mention the source(s) they used. I know that most make it correctly and give links to the sites they used, but if someone just copies and pastes this is not a work one should attribute to himself.

No offense, just as I said, I like reading the articles, because they are well written and interesting. But if its just about finding something on the net and claiming it for yourself, then I completely missed the point of this project.

I know who you meant - just no time to investigate it throughly... ;) I'll take action, when I've some time to look around...

On the whole, I'd rather you guys write it up, than pasting some fr somewhere...

Thanks for the congrats, but it's really a group effort. ;)

I am working on a history of the battle of Stalingrad. It will be a historical record and also recreating the action and grueling battles of Stalingrad. If anyone else here has already done this on Stalingrad I'll drop it.

There's no harm in having two such articles on the same subject. ;) Gives a different perspective.

AFAIK, no one's done anything on that, so pls go ahead.

Should I do one or two on Napoleonic land warfare? Say something on tactics, something on units and perhaps one on Leaders? :)

As you wish. Just make sure the length of each is reasonably long enough for people to sit down for a good read. ;)

I sure shall, working my way through one on the Peninsula war and how the French army lost it :D

Unstickied, since no one has posted in it for a month, and it's an eyesore...

Anyone needing to add their articles to the List can either drag this thread back up, or PM me. ;)

I am starting to work on an article about the Life in the Trenches of World War I and an article on The Battle of Groton Heights, A battle that has taken place in my home town.

Luckly I found an almost finished article of the Battle of Groton Heights lying around in my HD

The Battle of Groton Heights

Hrm...this thread doesn't appear to have been used in a while. I think I'll give it a bump, unless there has been some curse placed on it that has made it fall out of favor with this forum.

I've posted my first article recently, about Millard Fillmore, my former avatar. Since the 1830's - 1840's are my "pet period", I'm considering doing another one in that series. I am currently torn between several individuals -- James K. Polk, 11th President of the United States (1845 - 1849), Franklin Pierce, 14th President of the United States (1853 - 1857), or Roger B. Taney, US Supreme Court Chief Justice from 1836 to 1864.

Any preferences? Or should I cease bothering with that time period?
